Nat, threaded weld studs can be purchase without the flange on the bottom. If you only need to do a few the lower flange can be ground off by putting the stud in a drill and grind the flange off. On my CD threaded stud welder collets there is a threaded rod inside that can be adjusted to allow for varied lengths of studs so they can have the appropriate stick out to make proper contact without shorting on the collet. The reason I am talking about the threaded adjuster in the collet is because the collet you showed didn’t appear to have one. Having the adjuster is what allows the use of flange-less threaded studs. The plastic template is genius though. I will be logging that one into the memory bank. 😉

2 minor comments about the parcel shelf in the Allegra Type R - 1: Is there gong to be enough clearance between the speaker cone surrounds and the underside of the dress panel if the owner cranks up the tunes? To try and get as much bass out of those speakers the manufacturers have been designing them with longer and longer travel cone suspension systems and they move around a SURPRISING amount when you turn them up. 2: Why go with a circular speaker grille design instead of the elongated hexagonal design as seen in the detail of the grilles themselves and the front valance vents/intakes? That doesn't make sense to me at all stylistically.

Great work! On the XJC how are you keeping one tank running into the other and overflowing if the car is parked on a slope? A one way valve would prevent cross filling at a petrol station. Inquiring minds would like to know ( I would like to do such a mod on my XJ12 project). Cheers.

Generally love what you do but not thrilled with the Graphite Mini-Lites on the orange Allegro. I think it dulls the overall look but that is just my opinion and we know what that will buy you !

The back window will pop out of that Allegro. Did they re-engineer that? They also look like they've got knocked-in backends., why didn't they repair that?
