A man says that he has spent his whole life giving up attachments in order to please God, whom he associates with punishment and reward. Now that his understanding is changing, he is confused. Rupert speaks about God and our being as a single being.
This clip has been taken from one of Rupert's webinars in February 2021.

Very good exposition of classical theism, which was lost in the west with the Protestants who shifted God from Being to "a" being. The word God needs to be brought to its proper place again, denoting Being and the holy source of life itself. Faith should be natural not theoretical. Have faith in life and you will have faith in God.

Actually the bible (if we interpret appropriately) agrees with the idea that GOD the father judges no man. But has given all judgment to the son. The son in this case is human beings or all humanity as a single entity . See John 5:22. Of course major denominations have applied their own spin to this verse. Like it or not.

10:05 => The bacterium Borrelia, which is a spirochete bacterium that causes Lyme disease (a torturous and long-lasting disease that destroys the social, mental and material life of the infected person bitten by a tick), before being qualified as a destructive bacterium, it is in its essence "I Am "= an "isness" which is God's being, and this manifestation of God in a finite form of microscopic and toxic spirochete bacteria is cleverly programmed to attack and relentlessly destroy another finite form of the same "I am", but manifested as a conscious, intelligent, spiritual, rational, sentimental man, which is the culminating work on earth of the same Conscious Being "I Am". These aberrant "philosophical" speculations are the result of blindly following religious doctrines. The reality is that no one knows who and what God is. To say that He is Being, Consciousness, and we are one with Him would mean that we know from birth, as a pre-programmed instinct, who we are, who is God, what mitochondria or DNA is and how it works, and so on. But the Hindu religion, like other religions, has found "excuses": God sleeps through us and dreams until he / we wake up and become aware and enlightened. Let us then ask the great and enlightened gurus who have attained Cosmic Consciousness how many planets the solar system has or how a covid vaccine is made through genetic engineering which is in fact God's engineering. Please don't get me wrong. I sincerely appreciate awakened people like Mr. Rupert Spira and others, but I agree with them to the point where a "prostitution" of reason begins to appear just to agree with a religious-spiritual-philosophical doctrine that anesthetizes the reason.

I have said this elsewhere but will repeat because it helps me understand better down here in the weeds...A consciousness model can be mapped onto a religious model of the Trinity. We can "think" in terms of Sat-Chit-Ananda or Emptiness-Lucidity-Radiance or Being-Knowing-Bliss or Father-Son-Holy_Spirit. One of these may resonate better than another. Then we see that emptiness is our point of awareness and ground of being. We also see that innate lucidity supplies our knowledge and intelligence about our being and is not dependent on the noise of the material world. Our Trinitarian nature radiates joy into matter.

"I am", the separate egoic self, said. Forget this "I am" crap. It will only lead to confusion. Wholeness is not aware of itself. The moment it is, separation begins. Separation begins with the statement, "I am." Only the ego says I am, or "I".

Well I don‘t know. I think there can be more than one infinite being. It isn‘t a difference that creates infinity between the two, but levels. Certainly God, the infinite being has more knowingness than I do as an infinite being. God knows more than me and so do many other beings, both in other dimensions and on earth. I personally don‘t think we have to be one. I just don‘t. I‘m good with that.❤
@jarodlenold538
@jarodlenold538 2 жыл бұрын
I find your explanation very interesting, but it is based on the English language. In Japanese for example, objects are more important than subjects. In other terms, to say "I am a Rose", you would literally say "Rose", or eventually "Rose is". You start by qualifying objects. On the other side, Japanese language doesn't put the subject at the center of the world. In English you say "I see a tree", in Japanese you would say "The Tree is seen". So my question is, what would you say about "being" (I don't like the word god either), for languages that actually almost never use the verb "to be", like in Japanese. Isn't it another construction of the mind, based on your language, which is an interpretation of the world to describe it, like all languages?

God cannot be conceptualized because all your ideas are limited and this in unavoidable. Limitlessness cannot be meaningfully translated into limits. So its is "perfectly natural" not being to able to understand God, for that matter you do not even understand what You are, just understand that is something that has no limitations, unlike our current state of mind. What no one appears to get, even between nondualists, is that it was an exercise of Free Will by our Mind that got us into a limited state of mind. Free Will is guaranteed to all so nothing happens in that "exercise" is bad or sinful, the pain we experience is not a punishment but a appropriate symptom of a Mind that is spitting itself apart by admission of limited thoughts into it. God is also referred as to something that is "trinity" like, this is not however the "poetic" trinity of the God, Son and the Holy Ghost, no, the actual trinity goes like this: "A Mind that is in the state of Self Knowledge" Trinity > Mind, Knowledge and the Act of Knowing. God directs his Act of Knowing to his perfect and limitless knowledge, while our Mind, in the exercise of free will, is directing its Act of Knowing to self generated thoughts. Forgiveness and surrender are your only tools to awake my brother. Understand what those tools are, how they work and the requirements for the job and you will soon start forgiving. Your awakening will be the natural result of letting go. You do not acquire awakening, you let go, the awakening downs on you. Peace brothers.

This "dream" provides Awareness the opportunity to experience "otherness". Otherness, by definition, requires polarity. "Here" it is impossible to have a room with only "up", or a magnet with only a south pole. "Here" we can't have a coin with only one side. It is the nature of this dream. Therefore, joy can't exist without despair, love without hate, good without bad. It is the nature of this dream. The goal isn't to try to round up all the objects you prefer and get rid of the rest. That's like trying to collect coins that only have heads.

I agree with you. I hear a lot of echoes from what Rupert says, but no original thoughts. I like Rupert, and I feel enticed for some reason to listen to him, but I have a lot of questions that challenge this perspective. People selfishly say that "it all goes away", "It's all for the greater 'good' of awareness", "It's a dream" etc etc. But that's not what I'm observing. Things don't necessarily go away. Moods may come and go, but the consequences of actions do not go away. People die (they don't even know what hit them sometimes, as we just saw with that building collapsing in Miami, some of them may have been suffering for days before they died in the rubble). People get sick and feel unbearable pain (and no, not me. I'm having a very good life, btw). People are tortured and exploited. Same with animals. Also animals seem to be moved by a "cruel" nature that rules by eat or be eaten. I'm not so sure exactly why a "being" needs to make waves of death and agony.

So Jesus was being childish by speaking about reward and punishment from God? I fRupert is speaking with Roberto and there is no problem with that relation, all his talk about separation and relationship is pure theory. It defeats itself. God has an image of Himself apart from the world and everything in it. that everything derives its being from God doesn’t make it God. Or God is and nothing else, so that there is no way of saying my being is god’s being. Or I share God’s being without being God. He is the fountain, I am just a channel. And yet this does not speak of the perpetuity of the limited self which God will reward or punish.

Jesus was speaking in parables to people who were not ready to hear "I and the Father are one." They could not yet hear "Greater things you will do when I am gone unto the Father and the Holy Spirit is come." Jesus always spoke to the level of understanding of his audience. Paul did the same. He addressed the needs of each new church with where they were in their understanding of the Lord.
@MarcosBetancort
@MarcosBetancort 3 жыл бұрын
@@MaiikaK Jesus was not always speaking in parables. One has to be honest in reading in its context using proper hermeneutical rules in order to understand. But even if he was speaking in parables, parables didn't make the thing false, in some way or another there is such a thing as reward in the next life or condemnation and torment, in the mind of Jesus. and about "I and the Father are one", surely it never means, as Rupert´s wrong understanding suggests, that I is the Father, because not only is grammatically absurd, but it also denies the very idea of oneness which Jesus wanted to emphasize, which is the union of two or more, union in diversity as they are in the Trinity and in their economic union.

Who wants summer to end? Who wants to see their potential disappear? Yet this is inevitable, in the realm of the Separate Self, and the degree to which we lament losses and celebrate gains tells us how well we have grasped and integrated the higher wisdom of Advaita Vedanta, the understanding of which may be the only way to overcome sadness, regret, hope and despair in the face of Time.
