He didn't need a certain player to get out of the first round of the playoffs, he won in Milwaukee when Earvin Johnson was 11 going on 12 before he was even called Magic, He won in LA long after the retirement of Oscar Robertson. He didn't need one super coach to him to a title either. He won in Milwaukee with coach Larry Costello, in LA under Paul Westhead and Pat Riley. Not all supposed GOATS can make these claims.

In that last clip that was Maurice Lucas that grabbed Hakeem Olajuwon from behind taking him to the ground when Olajuwon & Kupchak got into it. That was game 5 of the 1986 Western Conference Finals. The Rockets went on to win that game and the series when Ralph Sampson hit that miraculous shot at the buzzer. They lost in the NBA Finals to Larry Bird & The Celtics in six games.

He quickly got back into offensive position, and went on to out rebound the entire Rockets team in the 4th with 5 boards, score 6 in the short time he was in, and made 4 decisive fouls that only saw the Rockets convert 1 free throw, to win the game. The Jazz bench squad was put in while they were trailing the Rockets. Good call from the coach and Billy pestering the hell out of Hakeem is what deflated the Rockets and won the Jazz the game. So the true story is: Hakeem hits like a girl and Billy Paultz won that game for the Jazz, not their starters

I enjoy watching some of the unwritten codes on the floor during games. I understand why Patrick Ewing got into Anthony Mason's face around the 1:40 mark of the video after the scuffle. Despite the intensity of the series, many NBA circles at that time knew that Hakeem Olajuwon and Ewing were good friends as well as being opposing big men. Few notes about number 1. It was the western conference final game five in 1986. Hakeem got kicked out of the game which led to the infamous ralph Sampson shot that eliminated the lakers. The nba was great then a physical game💪Embiid reminds me of Hakeem but Hakeem was smoother he moved fast and graceful not clumsy like Embiid, Hakeem looked like he was on ice skates with an unbelievable short game his game was so flawless. If your teaching the center position watch Hakeem film! He perfected the position using his size but not dependent on it like shaq, Hakeem was a perfect center def taking his Q from kareem and modernized it a little
