Hakeem at 12th all-time is why everyone doesn't respect the amateur's at ESPN. Hakeem is the GOAT C, GOAT defender, GOAT 2way player, and GOAT post player. He's UNQUESTIONABLY top 5 all-time. ESPN needs to hire some experts for a change.

My top 10: 1 Jordan 2 Bird 3 Olajuwon 4 Kobe 5 Magic 6 Duncan 7 Kareem 8 Wilt 9 Shaq 10 Moses Most people undervalued Moses Malone and put him at 12 or 13 but he’s won 3 MVPs and probably the best rebounder ever. Very dominant. P.S. Russell, Steph, and LeBron are next three.

Dennis Rodman is the best rebounder ever. Also Bill Russell outside the top 10 is crazy. 11 championships, 5 league MVPs, won the 1969 championship as a player-coach against a Lakers superteam with Wilt, Jerry West, and Elgin Baylor when the Lakers were heavily favored and the Celtics dynasty was dying. Wilt had the stats but Bill Russell beat him in the playoffs the vast majority of the time, even when he had a worse team.

I think Hakeem would win out. Not by much, because Wilt was almost unstoppable. Hakeem's footwork, speed and free throws would win.
@dawoool
@dawoool 2 ай бұрын
@@dlxinfinite801 Hakeem was an average free thrower and Wilt was lousy, so I don't think that's very significant in the comparison of them as overall players. Wilt had world class speed. And 30 pounds on Hakeem. His weight advantage enabled the older Wilt to play effectively against the younger, much thinner Kareem. Either way, Chamberlain vs. Olajuwan in their primes would be the best against the best.

@@dlxinfinite801 Russell said Wilt was the superior athlete and basketball player, and he won only because he had better teammates. When the Lakers built a top tier, but aging team around Wilt for the '71 season, they won 33 in a row after losing a superstar 6 games into the season. I went to 8 games of that streak at 11 and 12. And I went to game 1 of the finals, where I saw Phil Jackson play against Pat Riley.

Hakeem was the best center of the 90s (yes, better than Shaq!) and his only rivals for best center of all time are Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He was also arguably the second best player of the 90s after MJ and a top 10 player of all time.

I remember that Hakeem was a spokesman for uncle Ben's rice. Uncle Ben's rice , with a picture of a Blackman on the box, was viewed as " Racist". So, the perpetually anger group, wanted Hakeem to boycotting the rice. Hakeem said something to the point of " when I was growing up we ate it, it was good and affordable ". That he probably wouldn't be here if not for it. The perpetually angry groups then left him alone. What a Man. Kareem Abdul Jabbar, never had the foot movement as he did. Why do a " sky hook" shot with a low percentage chance, like Jabbar, when he could dunk it on anybody.

No way you beat the Jordan led Bulls who had arguably the greatest 1-2 punch in NBA history Pippen and Jordan. The Bulls would’ve destroyed them. No shame but the Bulls were that good.
