Remember that Yukio had two sets of employees stolen: the ones who worked with his parents at the start of the show and the ones who showed up later stolen right before the big reservation. The second group had no loyalty to the family, and the first one moved on little by little. That said, for partaking in such a mass exodus, the second group should be blacklisted from the industry.

I explained how that happened in my after story. The main story was what Suruo had said to them at first, but THEN it was pretty much a whole bunch of other crimes that he was doing to them, and to Yukio, Mio, and his allies, including racketeering, extortion, and a whole bunch of conspiracy to commit first-degree m u r d e r, and conspiracy to commit, not just character, but also literal, a s s a s s i n a t i o n s, on those people, as well as the employees, and the families of all of those people, if those former employees did not give into what Suruo and his allies said to do for him and his allies.

I'm really glad that Sauro finally got kicked out by his family and I'm even more glad that lovely old lady "the ugly hag" was rescued by Yukio and taken to his resort that helped him so much. She brought her beautiful nephew as well and the beautiful resort grew up so quickly and well despite Sauro's heavy sabotaging. At end Yukio beautiful Mio finally are dating with great love ❤️ 🌺 💕❤️

Why not make the resort hotels be more rooms that are a part of Yukio's hotel and get new staff from Japan, as well as elsewhere, to connect them all together? I mean, the poor hotel that Yukio had simply could not physically handle the customer volume, so why not make good use of those empty hotels and fix several problems at once?

Here is the aftermath of the story. Apparently, ALL of the hotels were doing the same thing as Suruo was, and, as it turned out, Suruo was actually working with his childhood friends that had parents that were owning all of the other hotels, as well as resorts, that were in the area. Moreover, all of the old employees of Yukio's parents' hotel (and now his hotel) actually did not just leave because of the things that they were promised, but because Suruo, as well as all of his friends, had not only plans to cause takeovers of their hotels, but that they were also secretly involved with the Yakuza, and they wanted to make this resort town into Yakuza property. Were that not enough, said former employees of Yukio's family hotel were actually threatened by Suruo and his friends, thus their seeming betrayal, and their attitude at the end of the story. Needless to say, Suruo and his friends did not last long after the trials were handed down and they all went into separate prisons, and ditto for their Yakuza clan allies as well. However, once Yukio, Mio, and everyone else that was still at the hotel found out what the trial of Suruo and his friends mentioned, well, that also meant a lot of new properties for Yukio, Mio, and the rest of the hotel employees. Now, normally, most people would have bulldozed the rival hotels down, but not them, as they knew that the small hotel that they had was swamped, and, well, the reservation list at the small hotel was ridiculously long, like DECADES in the waiting list length, and that their small staff would be unable to cater to that amount of people, so the only solution would be to hire people, not just in Japan, but also elsewhere, to help renovate, as well as expand, and staff, the other hotels into having tunnels that connected to the old family hotel that Yukio, Mio, and everyone else had in the first place (which, thanks to the settlements, and the sales to Yukio, Mio, and the other people that had the hotel, along with what Mio's family could scrounge up, cost a bit of money, but it also made one hundred times as much back in return). Now, during this time, Yukio asked Mio to marry him, and Mio then let out a startling confession, namely, that Yukio had helped her out with finding a smartphone that she once had back when she was in upper secondary school, that she was the local Queen Bee/Madonna of her schools, and that she always had seen him, but, because of the other boys, and her parents, she never got the chance to know him, and that, all of this time, she had no eyes for anyone but him. Mio then said, yes, she would love to be his queen, and his wife, and then they contacts all of their old friends from their youth, and they stayed at the other hotels, while the main wedding ceremony was help at Yukio's and Mio's traditional family hotel. The old hotel employees came back and had apologized for leaving the hotel, and they explained everything, not just what the media said, but also what their books, and other details that were cut out for program length coverage time, as well as for the statue of limitations, and the legal equivalents of non-disclosure agreements that had just expired. Yukio, Mio, and the people that remained as the staff at the hotel, were still a little mad at them, but they knew that things were not their fault, and, as it turned out, Suruo and his friends actually wanted far more sinister plans with them, so the employees did what was they thought was the best choice and they decided to play like they were on his side, but, in fact, they were actually gathering evidence against him and his allies, as well as trying to save their own families, their old employers, and themselves, from the machinations of Suruo and his allies. Yukio, Mio, and the loyal hotel employees were in a state of shock over the depravity of Suruo and his friends, and their actions, and, although the employees were sad that they could not come back to the hotel as employees, and that the hotel, as well as the other hotels that now belong to Yukio, Mio, and his allies, all had new employees now, as well as the potential risk of there may still be some people that wanted to h a r m the former employees of the hotel, not just from the previous clients of the other hotels, but also from the townspeople, as well as from the remnants of the Yakuza clan, which may, or may not, still be around, they decided to hug one last time, and to never come back to this part of Japan, as that visit was to make peace with the hotel that gave them the best years of their working lives.

I think the issue is the resort name. Consider that she went there on a school trip when she was 18, worked for 40 years without deeply remembering the place, and then trying to find it in her retirement. From that, she could only speak from the sparse memories she has, making it hard for anyone (including her grand daughter) to know which resort she was talking about. So she tried retracing her step, but like the MC said, the roads and environment changed a lot since then, so that became impossible. Edit: in other words, she would have asked her daughter for a resort with a beautiful night view from the bath and been given the names of every open bath resort in the area.
