That’s an absolute truth. People make a new rule and all the sudden everyone is guilty of something and the whole world changes because a grown man/woman/heshe/shehe starts crying.

@@HoustonRacewayKid 😂I cried because if they paddled me at school I'd get a whippin when I got home for making the school discipline me. When dad was out of country, if mom was forced to discipline.... same exact discipline for making her have to would be on it's way when he got home 🤣IMAGOODBOY "Screw your head on straight, or I'll do it for you" came from somewhere

My dad would make all of us (4 girls 1 boy) watch as one of us was being disciplined so we could "learn from their mistakes". If we were fighting he would punish both parties. One for starting the argument, the other for arguing back.

We have now arrived at the place where our entitled children have raised super entitled children. Even though I tried to give my daughter the things I didn’t have, I also taught her right from wrong, to respect people and to work hard for what she wants. I saw a tweet from someone telling people if they want the car and home and clothes and jewelers, go out and get a job and earn enough to pay for it. You can’t imagine the number of a*swipes who said working is a scam. They are in for a rude awakening in their future when Mommy and Daddy’s money dries up.

Well, how about having a grown up conversation about the state of labor in America instead of empty rhetoric? What percentage of income is needed for housing as compared to 50 years ago? Healthcare? Food? Education? Go on. You wanna trash talk the younger generations then have the courage to answer these questions. I guarantee you will not. I absolutely guarantee it. And THAT is entitlement. The belief you can trash talk people and not be called out. The idea that being asked questions after you do makes you a victim. So pony up. Let's discuss why these people today - and I'm almost 50 and I agree with most of it - might have a less than great view of the "american dream" as compared to you. After that we can do the history of organized labor in America and how its been under assault for decades, tearing apart the VERY thing that gave the generations you glorify everything they enjoyed. Come on. Big girl talk.

@@user-el5yw1er2j The youth of today haven’t given a good argument about wages, education, healthcare. The people I was referring to simply said working is a scam. Repeatedly. I was poor, we were lucky at times if my brother nailed a rabbit with a bow and arrow. I didn’t go to college, and started working right out of high school. I eventually worked myself into a bookkeeping job and met my husband and married at 26. We had a daughter when I was 30, and managed to get her through college. She has worked her way up from the ground floor in her profession and now owns a home. So I’ve had to struggle as my husband did and my daughter did. Not once did I pass off my personal responsible on anyone else. If that’s the American dream, that’s my life. Don’t lecture me on anyone else’s difficulties. I’m 67, widowed, and live alone. I don’t need your bullshit.

@@user-el5yw1er2j No one said it was gonna be easy, you have to work for the things you want. Sitting around whining doesn't make it happen. I went from almost being homeless with 3 kids to now everything I own is paid for. The problem is everyone thinks you gotta have the biggest house, nicest car. No one did it for me, no one gave me any of it. But there's no reason to come on here pushing others around and being a bully

The emergency guys picked me off my cold vinyl floor and rushed me to the ER where they saved my life, I was due to internal bleeding. The other day I found a piece of communication equipment stuck in the mud in my driveway and still working. I took it over to the Fire Department and the girl who met me was one of my rescuer's. I thanked her and the whole crew. I do that at the grocery store where they shop if I happen to be in line with them. They always look startled but then we smile and I'm a very grateful guy for their help.

I just finished watching Breaking Amish and they pop-up these Amish proverbs. And there's one I just absolutely love and it goes. "If you have never made a mistake, you have never done anything right".. I seem to have a different bent on entitlement where I live here in Newton Iowa we have a old lady that thinks she's entitled to run to management every time she sees somebody breaking a rule, she is a Canadian not sure of citizenship, but before you think you have the right to turn all these people in because they're breaking a rule, you need to look at yourself FIRST. That's why I like that proverb we all make mistakes and break rules it is just the human mind. Can't wait to hopefully move to Colorado Springs SOON..gheesh..ex-Texan 37 years I sort of miss Dallas. Stay funny Chad!

I'm a Gen Z and I'm not apologizing for my family's past mistakes but it helps me learn from them... I'm grateful for them to settle in America and help me learn about what they went through during hard times and how it developed their character as individuals to become tough people! They were tough individuals that learned about the ethics of work on their farms... by their parents and their parents before them... For my family I treat them with respect and follow the golden rule and no one is above another! The only person that's above us is our Lord and Savior the king of kings the person who died on the cross for our sins is none other than Jesus Christ himself! There's so much demonic stuff that's happening in America nowadays that just disgusts me... Imagine if our ancestors came back from their own graves to see America the way it is today I guarantee they would be disgusted and give my generation (Gen Z) an earful of sentences of common sense and if you try to cancel them I'm willing to bet that won't make them happy it would make them spiked POed! More than I can ever imagine...

There is a KZbin page called “Yoel and Mari”. Yoel is a recent (legal) immigrant from Cuba. He does videos about his first experiences in a free country. The first time visiting a supermarket, New York, a big league baseball game, a car dealership, Costco, etc. He actually had to leave Costco because it was so overwhelming for him. He is soooo thankful for the freedoms he now has, because so many things are not allowed in Cuba to it’s regular citizens. They could literally end up in jail in Cuba for the most minor infractions. They recently went to Puerto Rico and he got to try a jet ski, which is illegal in Cuba. All the good stuff in Cuba is only allowed for the tourists and the high ranking government officials. He gets very emotional since he sees what is available and the Cubans are missing out.

"Offense is the responsibility of the one offended" Loving, consistent and caring forms of Discipline are definitely needed, and it's not that you have to use a belt or even spank your kids (I don't believe in that method myself) "I use (time out) the Supernanny way" So "check out the Supernanny" her methods have really proven to be very effective, if you do them correctly and consistently... Btw, we need to "Stop" looking for approval from others and just be grateful that you still live in a free country and live your life.... God loves you

I got my ass whipped as a kid, by belt and sometimes had to pick the switches I would get my ass whipped with. Hell, my mom used to try to whip our ass driving down the road, that was the day before seat belts where required, all's we seen were her hands flying trying to reach us and did the best we could to dodge it. My brother and I, geesh. She had her hands full. I don't feel damaged. Definitely made me learn about consequences and respect. I had three kids in the span of 5 years, so they were close in age. We had to travel 15 hours, we were 5 hours into the drive. They had a dvd that strapped on the back of the head rests so they could watch cartoons, I made sure they had coloring books, snacks, activity pads, etc.. Well that wasn't enough, they started fighting, pulling hair, carrying on, I warned them several times - kids we have 10 more hours, this isn't going fly, they kept on and kept on. I pulled over to the side of the road and busted their ass and no one had a problem for the next 10 hours. They are grown today and are respectful, hard working people. Two out of the three gave me grandchildren and they are wonderful parents and their kids are very well mannered and respectful. You can take them anywhere without them throwing a scene, they say "please and thank you" and they are very joyful happy kids, we show lots of love and affection in our family, but we also discipline. There's a difference between discipline and abuse. This younger generation thinks discipline and consequence is abuse.
