I don't know if you knew but that last animatic was by Gigi; Gigi fully colored. I was baffled at the first watch because that Odysseus design was so familiar but I was crying at that point I can't think well enough . (The spin shot was a big giveaway, but I was so emotional with that orchestral reprise of Just A Man to notice that)

I was actually looking for Gigi’s animatic because there’s no way in my mind they won’t add at least one scene. It feels weird fully colored because that’s not we are used to.

One amazing thing about this song is that when Odysseus is getting outraged over the idea of cutting down the tree their bed is built around the music swaps his more gentle guitar for the electric guitar that represents his monster, and when Penelope responds instead of changing to her signature viola it keeps going with the guitar. Because in this moment Penelope is matching Odysseus' ferocity with her own 20 years of frustration and pain, not merely accepting the monster in him but staring it down on equal footing and daring him to keep saying it's something she would fear or something that could change her feelings for him.

I love your reactions, and when I found that you're also a Whovian, you BET I'm gonna enjoy seeing more from you. This particular song hits so hard, between the amazing vocals and the powerful instruments. It's exactly what we could have hoped for, for Odysseus and Penelope, but oh boy it hurts to "say goodbye" to them. Endings whallop me something fierce.
