The yellow/red is: Vredo compact seeder. The blue thing is: The IMANTS® ShockWave is a linear decompactor, designed to revitalise heavy wear areas by relieving soil compaction, improving aeration and removing surface water. Used on fine turf like golf courses.

@@Dirtmonkey when i see you going thru this event and talking with people it seems like they weren't too keen on you being there. I think that contractors like you and others should be catered to because sooner or later the cities are going to be in a money crunch and won't be able to have all the nice toys. It individuals that make stuff happen. And I also wondered why it seemed like they always send out company reps to an expo that never want to talk with the public. Lack of training.

The blue attachment: In Ottawa, Canada we call it a slicer. The other one we call an overseeder. I don't understand why someone would use a slicer that pushes the ground right back down (roller). Also, why would one use a large drum that would compact soil when overseeding? Soil compaction is what cities/municipalities fight on their sportfields all the time. The slicer shouldn't ever be used on an irrigated field (One wrong move and there's a costly mess). We generally used a slicer on low-grade fields, i.e., ones constructed with 'rocky' soil. Aerators are the preferred equipment. Please sometimes ask about being able to use the field the evening on the day one aerates because of the soil 'turds' everywhere. We followed behind with a machine that had a rotating spindle with 6" rubber coated cable pieces attached, which broke up the 'turds.' On the back of this attachment we had a 'flexible grate' which levelled out the loose soil and stood the grass back up. Integrated turf management specialist.

Enjoy your content and would like your opinion on something. I met a Mason/concrete company owner that has a successful operation going. I asked him about loaders, skid steers, ASVs etc...as far as purchasing equip and he's of the belief that purchasing any of that type of equipment is a terrible business decision under any circumstance. No matter how busy you are, when you factor storing, insurance, maintenance, paying for someone trained to operate it, tow it and transport it to job sites, permitting, liabilities if someone is injured or property is damaged etc.. Buying any Machinery is a complete waste of money when compared to simply renting what you need and not having to worry about those issues mentioned. Would you share your thoughts on this in a video, whether you agree or not and to what extent. Much appreciated
