Loved the opening travel sequence. Your editing skills are masterful! My go-to travel bag is a German Army ruck I bought in a second hand shop in Aachen for 25 euros. I don't do much traveling, but when I do, everything stuffs in there nicely. Cheers!

Beautiful, but as I stated in an earlier reply Tusting is the Brit leather goods supplier for me. My Explorer in Tan Atlantic is amazing for a weekend or a weeks excursion. My Clipper in Crazy Horse just keeps getting better as I knock it about. Love the depth of the review, never thought of how the color of the lining helps rummaging around. Keep up the good work. I have a high end brand weekend bag that I had when I was at school, it's from a top tier brand called "Hi-Tec." It must be good cos I've had since 1993 and it still holds all my pants in it just fine. Maybe one day I will be swimming in a pond like yours TGV but for now I think I will stick with "Old Tecy" or maybe a Tesco bag for life (one of those top quality material ones that are a pound, I aint cheap right). To be fair the bag looks great, I just can't get excited about bags myself. Mrs was swooning for a Mulberry Bayswater a few years back and I got her one for Xmas, she loves it and treats it like a baby. Makes me feel not so bad about loving the watches. Great vid TGV!

I bought a Carl F. cardholder/wallet (Swanfield) based on TGV's recommendation. Very happy with it. Paid thru their website and the communication was fine. The bag in this vid is beautiful and a solid value, Gucci & Prada would charge you $2-3 grand...probably more

I prefer bags with plastic zipper! If you use your watchhand to get something from inside the bag the metal zipp scratches your watch!!!! but it’s a very nice bag!

After going through three fabric rollaway bags in the span of just a couple years (rips, holes, crushing and busted zippers) I took a vow, fifteen years ago, that I would never again buy cheap luggage. Between Zero Halliburton, Rimowa and Saddleback, I have completely transitioned to durable pieces of luggage that have developed their own patina and character and they really do hold up beautifully. Say NO to cheap luggage!

Problem is expensive luggage doesn't last much longer. Tumy is a good example.

@@chawenhalo0089 It depends on what you buy. Just paying a lot doesn't guarantee your bag will last longer. Paying more, however, will give you more durable options... like a lifetime warranty for example. I agree about Tumi, by the way.

@@randynovick7972 put this way, I go Platinum in under 1 yr with air miles for the last 10 yrs. I have yet to find a suitcase that will survive more than 2 yrs. I just buy Samsonites on sale and that's it. Tumy is complete junk. The zips break, the extented handles, the staps. And they're pretty expensive. Actually I 1 week end bag thts survived everything. Its a Tula someone bought back from Mexico 15 yrs ago. It looks very worn, the zip handles are broken (I use zip ties) the black leather is pale grey down is some places but its outsurvived everything; Not bad for an al cheapo thick cow hide. Oh, I also have had until recently my moms Delsey which must be 50 yrs old but it was so ugly I threw it away. There is little correlation between the cost of a good and its retail price. Watches being a perfect exemple. Its down to how much you can get for it (positioning).

I prefer the bags from Saddleback Leather Company, a U.S. manufacturer of bombproof leather goods. I have a knapsack and courier bag I've taken through combat zones in Iraq and Afghanistan with no issues, sometimes strapped to the outside of a humvee during travel.

Brilliant looking bag, TGV. Excellent choice. A good bag is an excellent thing to invest in and helps save costs many, many years down the road. Lovely bag indeed TGV. HOWEVER, from my point of view, there is an aspect to beeing a gentleman that is often forgotten: acting environmentally responsible. And while this leather bag might last long, it is probebly still quite the opposite of that. Tanning leather is a very heavy process, using a lot of dangerous chemicals. And there is the annimal cruelty involved too. Most leather pieces are don't come from animals who "get eaten anyway", they come from annimals raised ONLY for leather. Because of all that, I think there are better solutions then full leather bags. Have a look at the Swiss brand QWSTION for example. They have all sorts of bags, mainly made from certified organic cotton and ecycled cotton with Eco-PU. And they are very durable. I own one myself.
