I’ve never had acne before and when I turned 27 out of no where it was horrible on my T zones. Anyway, I tried my mom’s dermalogica products and it helped after one use. I’m just now able to afford this product after using Clinique in the meantime for about 8 months with no results. I didn’t know where to start so thank you for this video. I’ve decided to purchase the pre cleanse, daily microfoliant, ultra calming cleanser, eye cream, calm water gel, and the age brightening serum. In which exact order should I use these products? Is there anything else you would recommend to save my face. I have scarring at this point but I think I can still recover with the right products. Thank you again!
@Sophie_theestheticianАй бұрын
So happy that this video helped, you’re seeing results, and are finally able to invest more in your skin! Your skin routine should generally follow this order- Precleanse Second cleanse (UltraCalming cleanser) Exfoliant (or you can mix daily microfoliant with UltraCalming cleanser) Serum Eye cream Moisturizer (calm water gel) You don’t need to use daily microfiliant and the serum every day. Depending on your skin it might be best not to use them in the same day even, as they can sensitize your skin. Hope that helps!

I just want to buy the microfoliant exfoliator, is this good to help patchy makeup? I already exfoliate every day with a different drug store brand, even twice a day sometimes with moisturizer after, and primer yet it still shows up patchy on multiple areas. I’m running out of hope so please let me know if this exfoliant will actually help since its so expensive
@Sophie_theesthetician2 ай бұрын
@@ravenphoenix-rose1266 I can’t make a formal recommendation without analyzing your skin and your current routine but exfoliating twice a day is usually not a good idea. I also am generally not a fan of drugstore exfoliants. You also might not be applying your makeup correctly. I would stop exfoliating for a week and then try daily microfoliant two days on / two days off and so on. Skip the primer and spend some extra time patting in your makeup. Hope that all helps.

Can I use the pre cleanse, a cleanser, the daily exfoliant, toner, hyaluronic acid serum, Niacinamide, eye cream and moisturizer as a daily routine or would that be too harsh?
@Sophie_theesthetician6 ай бұрын
Hi! Which niacinamide are you referring to? Is it the professional use ionactive? If so it’s 100% not for daily home use. And please don’t purchase the professional products from 3rd party sellers because they might not be authentic. In theory the rest of that routine is not too harsh but I would need to evaluate your skin to know if it’s right for you!

One question about the oil precleanser wil it clog my pores cause I have oily acne prone skin? I’m afraid of using it can you please answer me? Thank you 🙏
@Sophie_theesthetician Жыл бұрын
No it should not. It’s good for oily skin because it has oil loving and water loving properties, meaning it’ll grab oils but also rinse off clean with water. Then you should follow up with a water based cleanser anyway, so that should remove any residue.

Do you really want to remove all of the natural sebum? And how to add the hydration back. I dont use make up so can I skip precleanser. Advice needed from creator or dermatologist ONLY
@Sophie_theesthetician10 ай бұрын
The right amount and type of cleansing will not remove ALL your natural serum- just the excess on the surface. It all depends on your skin type and condition. I recommend using a serum and/or moisturizer after cleansing. It can still be good to use Precleanse even if you don’t wear makeup. Dermalogica recommends it for everyone for removing surface and oil based debris, but I wouldn’t make it your first priority if you don’t have a solid cleansing + moisturizing routine already.

You want a mineral based sun block because it lasts longer before it breaks down.. That's what SPF is. That's why mineral based sun screens will be higher. SP F. The amount of actual protection between the SP f's numbers is literally only 1%. The only difference is that the mineral base will last a lot longer before breaking down.

Last night I did my Oil Cleanser on just certain areas, cleaned off those twos areas, used the Microfoliant on those spots after I patted dry unless damp is ok, and followed up with my moisturizer. I also apply another layer of my moisturizer at night once the other has soaked in. Unsure if that's ok to do or just apply it to my cheeks that are dry at night? I don't do it AM.
