I was there - travelled 3500 miles to see her but well worth it. AJ was stunning and all the Angels had a great time. Very impressed with Portsmouth and the lovely music hall. The theatre sent everyone an email saying that AJ requested no video or photos, most people did this so you wont see much on You tube. AJ's Mum spent ages outside chatting to everyone - she was chocked with emotion, as was AJ herself.

I was there!!! It was kind of like a religious experience for me.Every time she opened her mouth I got tears in my eyes.She has something that very few people have!!

Kinda funny seeing me and my wife standing at that streetcorner. We flew in from Oslo to make sure AJ's hometown was represented at her concert !!!

The roses were bought by Angels from all over, mostly the ones who could not attend through an online funding campaign. It was my privilege to personally buy a half dozen.🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

Not only did we buy 500 roses, we had 1000 daisys! Just like the ones she’s wearing on her EP. We gave everyone who attended a daisy. When Angelina saw them on everyone in the audience, she about broke into tears! I was there on the 6th row!

@@adairmartin Would have been the same distance for me. I considered going but decided to wait for a better opportunity. I'm sure she will play the Pacific Northwest within a couple of years. I would like to see her bring her old band over.

@@leechap3 I would have preferred her Norwegian band, too! I was just happy to have the chance to see her in a small auditorium. Far better than at a large arena!

All those in attendance, and the band, the behind the scene folks, will remember that day just like a long time ago of those who were all involved in seeing The Beatles live and Elvis live for the first time...This is 'historic' folks...Imagine 20, 30 or 50 years from now you'll be able to say you were THERE...Or where were you and what you were doing the night Angelina came to town?

---- I attended the concert and was fortunate to have front row seats on the left aisle ---- AJ's mom was sitting in the aisle next to me livestreaming the concert back to Rob Christie of Republic Records. Sara would get up and scan the crowd after each of the three standing ovations. Sara also was facetiming with Rob ---- Sara's mom was so kind and gracious. I also briefly met and had a word with her. She has a cool accent. She went around talking and taking pictures with fans including outside the theater after the concert ---- One group of fans stayed around for an hour or so after the concert and met, and talked with, Angelina, and Sara, as they were leaving the theater ---- There were a few issues with sound (AJ's mike cut-out briefly a few times) and the band (one time AJ stopped as the keyboard guy was trying to play a backing track and AJ said to him she sings live). The sound engineers were not at the top of their game and sometimes had the band out of sound balance making them a little louder than one would have liked ---- However, AJ was in fine voice and very appreciative of the fans. Many fans were wearing daisies (as AJ was wearing in her hair on the EP cover) that AJ saw from the stage. Some came up to the stage and gave her their daisies that AJ said she had to save in her diary as a keepsake. Also, almost 500 roses were given to AJ backstage before the concert that she expressed disbelief about in a brief posting AJ made ---- The people across the aisle from me, also in the front row, were from Seattle and they brought their 6 month old baby to the concert. AJ saw the baby and expressed surprise and happiness. The baby had on these big headphones to protect its ears from the noise. I would say that the baby has to be the youngest fan to go to an AJ concert, ever. The baby was quite alert and was watching AJ perform

I had the privilege of attending Angelina's first US concert. It was history in the making and not to be missed. A wonderful evening that will never be forgotten. All the best to Angelina, her family, friends and Angels everywhere.

My wife and I were there. I have been a couple hundred concerts and this was my favorite of all that I have attended. Her mother was in the audience and was so sweet. I can’t wait to see Angelina again.

Even though Sara was live streaming to Rob Christie, Universal Music/Republic Records/Capitol Records, while the concert was going on, it was the responsibility of AJ's manager, uncle Michael Astar to make sure that the band and sound system were all up to par so AJ could put on a show for her fans that came from everywhere. We all know what Angelina Jordan is capable of, she is like nothing any of us has ever experienced in the past, and to think that the band walked all over her heavenly sounds is just sac religious.

We all know how much we love AJ, and how much we all want her to succeed so I know it was hard for some to be critical of the sound in the theater. This is why Taylor Swift is prerecorded using auto tune, and she lip syncs while performing. I still feel this should have all been taken care by her manager, that's why you have a manager. Her fans deserve the best because they are the best.

They should allow fans to video performance because it creates a record of this artist at that time and place. Hopefully if they restricted video recording there is going to be a live performance EP or music video released for fans. If no official live releases planned, they should allow fans to post video, free advertising of the artist and their performances. One shouldn't hide an artist behind a no video restriction, more exposure more new fans.

And what happens when more and more people stop going to the concerts because they figure they'll watch recordings online afterwards? How long do you think these venues would continue to exist? I agree with the concept that people need to pay to see these events and other people shouldn't get to see them for free. These venues and artists should be able to get the money that they deserve for what they do.

I’m sure Angelina and her team have their reasons and I think fans should respect their wishes. I was at the Pantages recently and there was a no video policy also. It’s not that unusual.

@@ron4mac Angelina Jordan is excellent artist, she will fill venues, video/phone recording won't hurt her earnings, she will continue to pack them in. But there maybe contractual things with her recording label that restricts this sort of thing, most artists and their record labels allow it.

It's the venue's strict rule of disallowing video recording... Angelina never prohibited video capturing in any of her recent concerts. In fact it is encouraged to some extent. Backtrack Music Hall history and you will find out that most of the performances there of any artists are not allowed to be filmed.

I was in the balcony and the drums were really loud up there....needed better sound management ..but not the musicians fault.

@@george40nelson4 I agree. All the "loud stuff" was a bit too loud, even Angelina's voice. The problem was not how loud everything was, per se, or even the relative loudness of the musicians and her, necessarily. IMO, the main problem was that the loudest stuff (including Angelina) seemed _disproprtionally_ loud. That's an audio issue they could have fixed in the rehearsals / sound check. But on whole, it was fine.

The band didn't ccomplement her at all. They drounded her out on half the songs. I can't believe her team let her out there with that band. The only songs that great is when the band toned it downed a little bit. Her voice was beautiful but like said you could'nt hear the nuances of her voice, the band was to loud on some songs.

Where I sat, the band sounded just fine. Angelina. of course, was amazing. Considering that they hadn't played for her before and that six of the songs had never been done in concert before, I think their performance was excellent.

Chris Walker Big Angie Fan gave a great detailed review about the concert. Lots of constructive criticism. Lots of comments said how great it all was. The one that shone despite the band, sound mixing and lighting issues was Angelina Jordan. Get these things right and you will have one of the best show stopping performances ever. Big learning curve for that next big step. Really needs people at her level and on the same page.

The band was not all that great, they tried to out do Angelina too many times, drowning her out, Not all their fault, only had 1 afternoon to rehearse and they are from Berkiee College out of Boston. A fan saw Sarah and she was under the front Marque where it said, Sold Out, and she had tears of joy. She then made this profound statement, "She has been a little Adult since she was 8". Isn't that amazing? God Bless!
