I also worked as a secretary at the then offices of Daily Mail and Evening News and can recall exactly how Anne describes them! Alcohol was always in the air! But great memories

I worked for her husband Robert Armitage in a government office in Victoria when I was a young lady. He was incredibly kind and would chat and quote from Orwell's Animal Farm. He was also very kind when I was diagnosed with cancer. I was aware of his wife and always read her articles. Some people in life you never forget. Even if only briefly.

Wonderful interview! Absolutely fascinating. Anne de Courcy is quite remarkable - very funny - 95 or 96 at the time of the interview!
