IF Chomsky really wanted to demonstrate that he had real expertise in Foreign Policy, Law, Government, Etc., then that is all the more reason for him to have sought an actual Policy Position at some point over the past 50+ years! But the thing is, here much of the elderly (and even the younger generation) still hate Germans for what they did to us during WWII, and ofcourse it’s wrong to hate all Germans. BlaccEagle War plan Crimson, was a military strategy adopted by the United States during WW2 to invade and occupy Canada. This came to the attention of the Canadian government in the 70's to "public" shock and a perceived anger. America doesn't need a Russian military pact to perceive Canada as a threat. Canada as an independent nation with such a territorial expanse already represent a threat to US national security. The US has since implemented a policy slowly Americanizing Canadian content and identity to the point where the only distinction between the two is literally the queen of England. Russia has since articulated a nuclear first strike should they perceive any military action against the Russian federation. This hasn't stopped the American war machine from violating the agreement parameters with the fall of the communist state. Russia has maintained a somewhat isolation policy to its detriment. Mighty Mole Actually many of these South American country are trying to take steps to end the war on drugs. It's the US that's still pushing for their war on drugs, and many of them are now also electing their own presidents, not US-backed brutal dictators. A good sign that they're getting away from western control can be seen in the 2012 when all of Latin America unanimously agreed not to attend any further summit of the Americas unless Cuba was allowed to participate, forcing America to take step to restart normal relations with Cuba. America was basically threatened with Isolation from the region if they didn't change their policies. And again not to mention they was the ONLY continent that refused to participate in US's extraordinary rendition campaign. That's not an insignificant achievement coming from a region that not to long ago was the place where the most egregious forms of blatant tortures took place under American-backed dictators. Again South America have a long way to go before they can be completely freed of America's influence and get their poor out of poverty, but these and many other initiatives are good signs.

Good luck but remember Chomsky will always tell you half of the story. There's always another side that's completely missing. For example as an Iranian I can tell you he's very wrong about Iran. Here he claims Iran is only focused on defending itself. well Iranian drones are being used to attack Ukraine right now. Hamas' attack couldn't have happened without Iran's support. Iranian officials have been boasting about helping Hamas. When they shout death to Israel you have to take them at their word. If you listen to Chomsky you get a picture of Iran as a country that just wants to mind its own business and live in peace, but that's not true. The ideology behind the Islamic regime should not be taken lightly.

Whenever they interact with anyone/any country outside of their historical or perceived borders, their attitude is vehemently clear. Up to a point where you steal from your neighbours. But being cruel is not limited to Europeans. We´ve seen Asian army´s literally eat their way through other populations, Africans and Native Americans butchered eachother well before Europeans joined the festivities, and Arabian women are sometimes treated as glorified pets. In a homogeneous group racism is likely hidden, which counts for so many nations across the globe. Europe is a terrible example of this, since it´s not only blue eyes and blonde hair as Noam says. Scandinavians have gradually clashed with Arabians long ago on the European continent, turning it in to a mixed race population. Despite different origins and features like eye & hair color, racism became practically non-existent after a few generations. We appear to be a monolith, but we are not. Add people from the (former) colonies, and you have a very diverse community. Chomsky is right when he says racism pops up when people mix, but that makes racism a problem because of the present mass migration in Europe. Not because one race is inherently more racist than the other. Bigotry goes both ways, and this time it will wear off too. Feeling superior and looking down on ALL other races is telling, but if some populations are more welcome than others, perhaps they have a hand in the hostilities too... It isn´t always about race.
