York is my fav city up north. We were there recently and the Christmas Market is amazing, it always is. Looks like you had a canny walk Luke, you cover some miles you do lad. Nice video, very nice, well done mate.

You must have seen a lot of changes in York through out your life David. I would love it if there's any stories you wish to tell us about York in your younger years.

@@lukehoneythunder I was told from 1976 i should tell my life still be told it. .Any i born in the maternity hospital in york in 1944 ,brought up in a real live dickensian childhood.,way back in time it was due to the vikings raping and pillaging i exist.I left school aged 16 went straight into rowntrees chocolate factory.was there about 3 years 6 months,left started work at wrights bakehouse at bedern,later went to work at crows butchers ,then later started work at the york and district builders in 1964 ,in late 1965 we were all made redundant.i got a job for the york city council housing department in st stephens road cutting grass working with tradesmen,it was whilst working there i met patricia lawrence she was 17 i was 21 in late 1965 we fell deeply in love her father herbert refused to give her permission to marry me ,she took it to court the yorkshire evening press were outside took a photo of us both it was in the paper with a story sadly i lost the newspaper cutting,bujt still have the photo so your older relatives might have seen it we married in march 1966 lived in many haunted homes its a l,ong story we left yorkm in 1976.
