Trey Walker the burns are totally inaccurate to the scene in which the Starfighter appears. The starfighter appears at the beginning of the movie, and burned anakin doesn’t show up until the very end

The problem with R2-D2's legs sticking out in the set is that R2 doesn't even fit in the actual ship model from the movie. Look up any behind the scenes photo of the Interceptor from Revenge of the Sith and you'll see 80% of his body is just awkwardly sticking out the bottom.

The other clip on the bottom is for the spare spring loaded shooter bolt and not for part of the lightsaber! I love it when everything in a set can all fit onto the build!

Only collectors will care about the print. Kids, legos main demographic, will not care so Lego reuses torso prints.

If you have the 2014 version, the updates aren't extensive enough to warrent a purchase. But if you're like me and the clips for one of the S-foiles are broken, it's good that there is a new Eta on the market.

Yeah I’m not very happy with the Anakin in this set. The fact that they couldn’t have made that simple edit to his torso. As Anakin would say, “This is outrageous!”

The Anakin figure is not a mistake. Mistakes don't happen on purpose. Lego knew exactly what they were doing by cutting costs, which results in a terribly lazy minifigure.

Callum Pears I think it’s more because what Disney wants them to make, perhaps it might be worth looking at what other toy brands are also making for Star Wars. Just because they don’t make prequel sets doesn’t mean they aren’t fans of Star Wars or aren’t fans of prequel era. Whilst we aren’t likely to get any prequel era sets in the small winter wave there will always be the summer wave. Besides they have literally just given us like 4 sets from the prequel era in the summer wave just gone so there is that. The winter wave is the smaller cheaper wave usually.

I probably would not have noticed the wrong Jedi outfit on Anakin if you haven't pointed it out, but it is an annoying mistake. And I'm very happy that you got a better printed R2-D2 for a change! They've made quite a few of Jed Interceptor sets over the years, especially Anakin's, would be cool to have the whole fleet, we've seen many Jedi using this craft in the Star Wars movies and series, cool review, Jang!

I 100% agree with you stating it's incorrect, but I just came up with a interesting thought. I think you could argue that the burn marks are from the fire and Sparks that were in the cockpit during the movie; if I recall correctly the robes on set were kind of marked up. I could be misremembering but that could be a way of squaring it with one's headcanon. But the obvious answer is that Lego cheap out and reused the figure

I just realized something: this set literally has the same basic footprint as the Speed Champions Toyota GR Supra... which I kinda feel is a bit weird, because I doubt that if you make a real life version of this starfighter, I feel it would be big, and if you look at a GR Supra on the street, it's not that big of a car... if I'm being honest, I think that the length of it should be comparable to the top fuel dragster in the Speed Champions Mopar Dodge//SRT Top Fuel Dragster and 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A

Definitely the best Jedi interceptor but maybe a bit too early for another Anakin one? Sure it was only like 2014 when the last one came out but that still feels too recent, and it doesn’t help that like last year Anakin had the previous model of a Jedi Starfighter with the exact same figure choice (with a different torso for Anakin) and the exact same color scheme. I think I might have preferred a new version of Obi-Wan’s blue and white one but then of course they’d have to include Obi wan despite him already appearing in another set this wave so instead maybe they should’ve just made a new version of Anakin’s green one as that one feels a bit more in the past. That could’ve also been a better excuse for the charred robes version of Anakin, and it could still have R2 and maybe even a new version of Padme with the ran gown and maybe a printed baby belly illusion.

A downgrade from the 2014 one is that the lightsaber can't be stored inside the cockpit. The control panels in the cockpit were also better in 2014 as the minifigure's hands were positioned right over them.

I think the 2014 one was $30 when that first came out so I think this one is fairly priced when compared to that one (I could be completely wrong about the price that's just how much I remember spending it at target if I am wrong please let me know)

I got mine last week. First, Jang, I agree with the wrong Anakin figure. That's a big boo boo. And I got this to go along with my 2014 Obi-Wan version (so I can do the opening scene, LOL). But, while there are things I like about this one over the previous, there are things I don’t. I do like the way that the astromech droid sits lower and some of the building techniques are better. However, I wish it had the outer radiator designs like the 2014 version. The big guns should be black and not gray. Also, Obi-Wan can sit upright in his cockpit, Anakin has to lay back (he hits his head). It’s a good set and I’m glad I got it but not as much as an improvement as id hoped for.

There's a design issue with this set and I'm not talking about the Anakin minifig. The way they connected the wings to the cockpit is poorly done. They use a new version of the 3x4 ratcheted hinge plate in the wing to connect the cockpit which only has 7 teeth, as opposed to the previous version which had 9 teeth. This means there's not enough friction to hold the wings in the position they should be, leading them to sag when you hold the fighter and forcing them up when you put it down. The receiving hinge cylinder pushes against what teeth are there, which with in a few days after building had almost completely worn off the teeth on the 3x4 plate. This can be solved by replacing the 7 toothed hinge plate with one with 9 teeth.

Also, re the stickers; they used a sticker for Republic Logo on the the 1x1 round tile. In the last Eta II set (Obi-Wan's) that was done as a print.

I truly prefer the last iteration, and I’m really glad now that I picked that one up. Same with the Obi-Wan version since it was virtually an identical build. My only explanation as to why Anakin is incorrect in this set and Obi-Wan is incorrect in the Gen. Grevious starfighter set is that LEGO deconstructed a lot of the Duel on Mustafar sets (since it never really sold) and just reused those minifigures in the new sets. I’m not saying that this is acceptable from a company a big as LEGO (and who’s mantra is “only the best” ironically), but I’m sure that it’s what happened. Especially since there are existing print designs for a correct Anakin. This just goes to show though how much LEGO has come to respect money over their own loyal consumers. Once again LEGO exposes its greed.

From somebody who paints custom figures, I have a solution for those who are not customizers but want to remove the burn marks. Take a pencil eraser and erase the burn marks off. It will take a while but it’ll look good once they’re gone.
