This is a segment of a longer video of an interview with Gene Gendlin about the implicit dimension of experience. In this clip he is giving a clinical example of how he works with the implicit in psychotherapy.

Fascinating! It occurs naturally to me while I was in therapy and, like, 5 sessions seems to have changed my life so deeply. I became aware it had everything to do with the fact that my therapist had a strong non judgmental attitude and also with the fact that I naturally speak from "inside" when I am in therapy, it's just something I always did without knowing what felt sense was. I am glad to find this type of material here. Thank you!

Amazing! The Implicit sounds related to "parts" (IFS). There is something richer about the implicit though... it is as though the implicit is *that which instills life to* the parts (since my concept of a part can already rest upon the implicit and therefore, on assumptions about that part of me). The implicit *is* the life within... I am really resonating with how experiential Genlin's way of speaking is. He seems rooted in communication via affect, wonder, curiosity and gaze that words merely embelish.
