This is a much more progressive positive attitude, one that will take humanity into the future. Check out our other videos! I'm sure that we are not alone, but I'm also sure, not all will be a bed of roses, as they say: There will be those whose technology looks like magic (far beyond ours) and we will learn from them, that is, if we respect them (don't try to steal their tech.) There will be those whose technology is greater than ours yet they have no respect for us or anyone else; they only consume planets of folks, human or otherwise. There are those whose technology is less than ours and we may try to dominate, but hopely not as they may have allied themselves with more advanced civilizations that will come squish us - yikes! It seems that those whose technology is slightly greater or equal to or less than ours, seem to have issues to work out, first - beware of these. And more...

@Robert Loewe Nasa has been doing this for 60 years, spent trillions USD, with damn physicists sucking, to send junk into space, it's time for them to go bankrupt. And it takes much more than Billions of Elon Musk or Bezos or all together to produce interstellar travel, it takes another TESLA. This one said: I don't care that they steal my ideas, I'm worried that they don't have their own ideas. With the electronic technology of now, Tesla would go to Mars and return in 5 minutes, spending less than a million USD, with in 6 months. This wisdom is still around, but as it is necessary to violate the damned laws of physics, it will not advance any longer while the stubbornness persists and I call this TREASON TO HUMANITY. The Alcubierre drive works in Einstein's field equations, and the concept of warp-drives are *hypothetically* possible because it doesn't technically require moving faster than light, but rather reducing the space one needs to travel between a pair of points (expanding space behind an object and contracting it in front). The problem is that most proposed hypothetical warp drives require negative mass/energy, which is still hypothetical and may or may not actually exist. Still, warp drive is *very* hypothetical. Even if it is possible, it would be very, very difficult to practically produce.

The photon forcefield you described sounds almost identical to how many UFOs are often described as appearing as glowing objects. It also sounds a but like the navigational deflector used in Star Trek. And the Hyperdrive from Star Wars is most definitely NOT a type of warp drive. It is explained in Expanded Universe material as being a plane parallel but separate from normal space-time.

Fascinating. At a young age I understood that to meet the stars would take overcoming fuel mass ratio, shielding, and time dilation. I hypothesized that some form of electro-magnetic force could possibly solve these issues. I'm not a wiz or even a college graduate. I didn't even graduate high school having to go to work in order to escape an abusive home. Excuse, maybe. A realistic dreamer who studies everything, absolutely. You have to start somewhere. You don't go directly from hypothesis to practical application; Much of the technology we have now rests on stuff that was hypothetical a century or two ago. Electricity was nothing more than a vague curiosity for many centuries. Amusing, but having no identifiable practical use. The underpinnings of quantum mechanics date back much further than anyone actually took them all that seriously as a model of the universe. Einstein was also not the first to consider various aspects of what is known as relativity, but he was the first to put various things together coherently. And his work was entirely theoretical too. It took decades for anyone to come up with a way of testing his hypothesis, and even longer for anyone to actually conduct the first such test. The Alcubierre warp drive is a particularly fanciful construct, since it relies on several pieces of unproven physics. The upside of it is that it is a mathematical model which does not contradict any pre-existing known physics, which is a lot better than most such concepts, but still a long way off from being something that can be proven to actually be possible, even in theory, much less in practice...

I'm going to say yes it is possible, only because we are using our ape brains in most cases to try to wrap our heads around this concept. It's always easier to be the pessimistic naysayer, instead of being the optimist with hopes of a better future. That's just how most human beings think sadly, but there are those of us that not only refuse but are incapable of thinking like that. Not saying I'm better than anyone else, but thats just how us INFJ type personalities think.

In physics, it is what is known as the Alcubierre Warp Drive. On paper, it is a highly speculative, but possibly valid, solution of the Einstein field equations, specifically how space, time and energy interact. The Alcubierre Drive most certainly does violate Causality, and this follows from just the most basic amount of Special Relativity that you might learn if only you'd spend your time learning real things, rather than spreading disinformation. Let's define causality as: You cannot change the past. Meaning that at any given moment t1, it is impossible to influence any event which took place at t0

The whole idea of a warpdrive is to warp space time around us to push us, space time itself is the only thing that goes FASTER than the speed of light. Universe is expanding faster than light, if we some how utilise this ''force'' to our advantage, we can go to stars within a fraction of a few weeks or days. Of course there's problems with this and we just have to come together and work it out!

@penumbraaerospace4708
@penumbraaerospace4708 2 жыл бұрын
dyon thrust can be produced by combining permanent attractive magnetic feilds with free electrons spitting from cathode rays made of monopolar spin ice matter, the only only fuel would be electricity that could be generated from a black hole reactor. a more "conventional" but less efficient thrust method would be to irraadiate lithium 7 with neutrons producing helium at 16Mev, thats preety good but not as efficient as a antimmatter matter collision warp drive. Copper gets hit with neutrons it releases a really nice balance of matter antimatter, but the stray electrons that dont get used up inthe collision could be recicrculated

This conditioned radiation concept reminds me of the work in artificial atoms and 'hard' light. The idea of making photons interact as a pseudo-force carrier might be possible but it needs definite experiments done because it has applications beyond a space drive (basically everything from the Star Trek styled holograms and replicators to being able to have a 'suit-case' styled particle accelerator would all be uses of such conditioned radiation).

AsteronX would a negative mass drive be possible and work in like manner to the conventional alcubierre-white warp drive?
@asteronx

All forms of the Alcubierre drive make use of negative mass/energy. So, to answer your question, yes.
@ryang6397
@ryang6397 6 жыл бұрын
well i was talking about the gravitational pushing effect that can only be caused by negative mass like what you get from the diametric drive, not the negative energy from quantum field effects which is how your alcubierre drive works as this method doesnt use negative "mass" (i dont think). the problem with using negative mass is that its hard to control and would accelerate forever without being able to stop it. does negative energy from quantum field effects have the same problem, how would you control acceleration and general movement in the alcubierre drive?
@asteronx
@asteronx 6 жыл бұрын
As stated by Einstein's famous equation e=mc^2 (and extended equations when relativistic motion is accounted for), energy and mass are equivalent and interchangeable, by modifying spacetime/QV around a spacecraft, an energy bias is created that behaves as a kind of "virtual" negative or positive mass. Thus, a warp drive is in essence a kind of diametric drive.
@ryang6397

but using actual negative mass and virtual effect negative energy are really not the same thing although they have the same effects. but ok ive answered that part of my own question hehe 😅

Imagination is a wonderful thing, when the breakthrough happens, by its very nature, the new tech will break with the past and all standards of the day. A new universe will then be accessible, like jets enable global travel in hours when surface travel took, days, weeks or months, and before that took early man generations to walk the planet to the end of the continents.

I would like to propose a question.. As explained a shield as such in the show/movie Star Trek, a shield would be slightly damaged, should something hit it, and the percentage of available power was what was left of their shield and the more it got hit, the more it would drop. With a Photon shield, you say that objects would simply bounce off and not touch or harm the shield short of hitting a comet or planet or such, but what if you were to be able to draw more power from the object hitting the shield, thus making the shield stronger. Simply, the reverse of damage as in Star Trek going to the totally opposite direction? Lets say, we do encounter a hostile alien race that wants to do harm, they hit our shield, and the shield strengthens more, causing a deterrent to them trying to hit our ship? Or, an object with several times more energy than the ship itself hits, and that energy is gathered and stored for future use? Could it be possible to come up with such a shield rather than just one that bounces objects away?

@X-boomer
@X-boomer 4 жыл бұрын
Indeed. "Quark fusion" is nonsense for the submit mundane reason that lone unbound quarks can't exist in the first place. If you try to pull two quarks apart, it takes so much energy that it just creates two more quarks and now, for the cost of the energy you put in, you just have *two* quark pairs. Even if it *were* possible, you still couldn't produce energy from quark fusion. It would be like separating water into hydrogen and oxygen and then recombusting them, and pretending that you had created new energy when all you have really done is recovered the energy you spent electrolysing the water to begin with.

The warp/drive ring creates a spherical FTL region, so it makes practical sense for the starship to fill all of the available space. Additionally a spherical spacecraft required the minimum amount of material to enclose a given volume, older sci-fi works: www.projectrho.com/public_html/rocket/torchships.php, often depicted spherical craft for this reason. And yes, the craft of Perry Rhodan do look similar to warp drive-equipped starships.

@@asteronx : Asteron. Thank you so much, for your reply My Brother or Sister. Though, Asteron sounds more masculine than feminine. Love watching this video, as it was so inspiring. So many truths in your reply here, I hardly, know where to begin. One commentator below, said all this was Science Fiction, and that we need to base current, technologies on current, physics, and that may be true to some degree, it's also, limiting, as well. I resonate with everything you've expressed here, as I've tried to live it and have been preaching it, more or less, my version of it, my entire life. I was born in 1965, and I count myself sort of, lucky that I grew up throughout the 70s and 80s when Science Fiction was still, open and visionary. What a time to be a kid, in that regard. I have been a huge, Star Trek fan, as I said, my entire life, and got hooked on this series around, 7 or 8 years of age, and it has remained with me, ever since. To this day, I consider Mr. Gene Roddenberry one of the greatest Visionaries of the 20th Century. I was a big fan of Space 1999 as well, which a lot of people don't remember now. That actually, was a revival to Star Trek for a time. Then I remember when Battlestar Galactica came on in the 80s, and how it awed and inspired me. Then I remember when Close Encounters of the Third Kind came out, and how that awed, and inspired and expanded my mind to the possibilities out there. Then came along the first Star Wars movie, l was 12 then, and utterly, broken hearted because there was no theater in my town to show the movie, and I hated that I was missing out on this big thing, this big event that was happening. Then Star Trek came out with their movies, and around the same time, Star Trek, Next Generation came out, and so forth. Nearly all this Sci Fi was visionary. Nearly all of it expanded your mind and got you thinking about things. And it inspired you like mad. I'm not sure if it's purely, because I was a kid at the time, or that it is really, because it's an age of innocence lost now, but I sorely, miss those times and that kind of feeling I used to get then. I seek out VISIONARY, OUT OF THE BOX, Scientist, Researchers and Engineers. But they seem so few and far between these days. I am forever, seeking out this sort of thing over KZbin here. Science Fiction has a vital place in Science Fact I believe, as it is usually, the precursor to it. The IDEA, must come BEFORE, the INVENTION, right? As crazy or outlandish as it may seem at first. This is what EXPANDS and EVOLVES, Science and Research, correct? Where does the idea come from? It's anyone's guess, isn't it? I consider myself a bet of a Philosopher and Visionary, as well, but have yet to push forward any of my ideas to any extent, at all. I'll toss something out there, every once in a while, feel around a bet, and if no one bites or shows any interest, I kind of, back off and leave it alone. Maybe I shouldn't but without the nudge and inspiration it becomes difficult to pursue what you believe to be a great Vision for the future. A Vision that you hope will benefit the world and humanity, overall. I'm not a technically, minded person, so I need to partner up with someone who is about to put a practical application to the ideas that come to my mind. That has yet to happen, and I'm not getting any younger. For example; I have never believed that Mr. Roddenberry's beautiful, hopeful, unified, vision of the future need to be FICTION, FOREVER. Why? Why can we not manifest this vision or some version of it, over the next century or so. Why CAN'T, we have a Starfleet Academy, or the rudimentary beginnings of it, now. Why CAN'T, the United Nations evolve into our First, Global, World, Government, that maybe, just maybe, will invite Beings from Other Worlds and Dimensions to come to our planet, and work with us so we CAN, at some point, have a United Federation of Planets. Why would advance beings come to such a divided world and species, when we are not showing ourselves worthy of this. Right? I forever, remain hopeful that a humanoid species, SOMETHING LIKE, the Vulcans DO INDEED, exist somewhere, out there, in the Cosmos, and would be quite happy to collaborate with us, once we prove ourselves ready and worthy for such collaboration. I mean, dear God, we MUST, start SOMEWHERE, at SOME POINT, correct? Before we destroy our ability to live on this world, altogether. Ahh, but that's all crazy talk, people tell you, and turn away, and that's it, nothing ever, comes of it. Plus, I have always, mostly, been a HUGE, fan of the PHILOSOPHY, of Trek. A philosophy that most Trek fans, for some unfathomable reason, seem to choose to ignore or not gt at all. Part of the Philosophy is some of what I just, expressed. We want to advance technically, without advancing Mentally and Spiritually, first. I'm fearful that will only, end in our destruction. I understand that you are likely, a very, busy individual, or group of individuals, or what have you, but I'd love to chat a little more if you feel so inclined and when you have the time. I need to connect with a group of like minded people, somewhere, soon, sometime, while I'm still young enough to manage to do much of anything, at all. I'll check out your site more, as I think and hope, I'll find more inspiring material here. My Very Best. Namaste to You As Well. Be Well. Be Safe. Out For Now.

@@asteronx : Thank You, My Brother. Much Appreciated. In a little under two months now, I'll be turning 55. I'm not telling you a word of a lie when I say that on the inside I have not aged a day since by late teens/early 20s but my body forever, reminds me of the difference. So it's on my mind a lot lately, that I am now, halfway through my 50s without achieving much of anything of any consequence, and I know how all this works, the next five years will whiz by like greased lightening, and I'll be 60 before you can blink an eye, sort of thing. Right now, I'm not mentally or emotionally ready for that. The time is simply, going by far, far, too fast. I sometimes wonder if I'll ever have any sort of legacy to leave behind. Where did we go wrong from the 60s My Brother? Everything was so bright and hopeful back then. As I said, I was pretty much, a baby myself, but from everything I've come across from other people who were young adults at the time, we were supposed to be living in wonderland by now. Instead of wonderland, the world has never been more pragmatic in recent history it seems, and we seem to be ever, increasingly, hell bent on our own destruction. Where are the Gene Roddenberrys, Arthur C. Clarkes and Issac Asimovs of the 21st Century? Where are all those great, visionary, thinkers and dreamers of the 50s and 60s that presented such a bright, hopeful and expanded vision of the future for us? I don't see them anywhere, anymore. Or am I merely, looking in all the wrong places? So much goes through my mind, My Brother. And sadly, age is making me ever, more disillusioned by it all, with every passing year. People are becoming more and more petty. More and more self absorbed, it seems. More and more disconnected from their inner and higher selves. More and more disconnected from the wonders of the natural world, of space, and all the matchless, wonders that lye beyond there. And so forth. Technology should NOT, be doing this to us. Technology should be an AID, NOT a HINDRANCE. Correct? The world needs a VISION, again, My Brother. A Great, Grand, Vision capable of Unifying Us All. To hell with the pragmatist. The world is busting to overflowing with them now, as is. Where are the VISIONARIES, of the New Age? The Great, Grand, Thinkers and Dreamers of the 21st Century and of Tomorrow? Those who would DARE, to make the fantasies presented in your video here, REALITY. And not hundreds of years from now, but hopefully, only, decades from now. Am I to believe there is NO, Great, Budding, Genus, Mind out there ANYWHERE, in this world, not capable of making this happen? Or several? Let's find these people, fund these people, and MAKE, the IMPOSSIBLE, POSSIBLE! Right? We're not even, trying, are we? It doesn't seem so, anyway. And that's so damn, sad and unfortunate, and humanity is being held back hundreds of years because of it. Anyway, just a taste of what we can get into if you'd like to chat with me a little. Thank you for your time. Sorry for bombarding you with so much, so quickly. I only, hope these comments will inspire somebody who may come by and read them after. Nice presentation but not one bit is believable. If you have something with zero mass hit something with mass, I'm pretty sure the object with mass is the object which is going to be deflected. Also, photons are massless and therefore have near zero affect on pushing objects out of the way. When flying through a gas (atmosphere) the photon shield still needs to push the gas molecules out of the way which again has more mass than photons. There is no known science which can create a photon shield, and even if there was, it would unlikely to have the affect which is described here. Frankly Start Trek is far more plausible than this presentation. Why do we been quark fusion? Where do the Quarks come from? Sounds like you have to crack sub nuclear elements in the atom to create the quarks needed, so be prepared to fit a super collider in you ship.

But there are laser beams and laser rockets that are proven science and they work very well at moving and deflecting objects, plus you have solar sails also. I know it verges on fringe territory, but could we suppose there are divisions of the scientific and engineering communities working on feats of engineering that mainstream science can only dream of? They only told us about stealth decades after and most likely once they had something even better to replace it. Doesn't it seem reasonable to at least suppose we have access to technology that is far beyond what we can imagine is possible at this point? Isn't it just a tad naive to assume they tell us everything they are capable of?

Thanks for asking. Yes, this drive is based on real science and elements of the drive have already been tested in a lab with positive results, which is not 100% proof positive. And, of course, there is nothing new about conditioned photons either. As with the Alcubierre-White Warp Drive, neither drive is an off-the-shelf ready for assembly and test flight drive--both require further testing and development, which I discuss in Part II (coming soon).

+ Tiago, I have researched the idea pretty well and I can tell you, it is entirely unknown at the moment whether or not this idea will work. There is no drive prototype or anything nor have there been any conclusive lab experiments though it is an internet rumor that there have been. I looked for conclusive experiments as recently as one month ago and all I found was a few by Dr. White which had turned out inconclusive. He admitted that if there was an effect, it was so small he couldn't say for sure if it was due to error. Here is some history on the concept though to get you up to speed: Alcubierre, a Mexican physicist, was able to demonstrate recently that it was mathematically possible (with our current models of the universe) to go faster then light if you could create a warped space by compressing space in front of you and expanding it behind you. He developed calculations showing that with certain warped spacetime curvatures you could go faster then light, such as 10c for instance. However, the mechanism for how space could be warped was unclear. At the time, using the current models of the universe you could create spacetime curves like this with something called "exotic matter", strange things that have negative energy densities for instance, and we are not sure if this matter or energy exists so his paper was only an idea when published. It also required an enormous amount fo this negative energy as it is very hard to warp space. Remember, making a model show something is not the same thing as it actually working--you need lab experiments to confirm. It was a cool idea though and it opened the door to the possibility of FTL. Dr. White, who this video author is talking about, works for the NASA FTL division. There has been no demonstrated FTL in any experiment ever, however, NASA still has this division to brainstorm about the possibility and create the framework in case we find something that does allow it. White built upon Alcubierre's ideas. He is famous for reworking the spacetime curvature in a way that dramatically lowered the energy cost. He found a spacetime curvature, for instance, that lowered the energy requirements from something like the energy contained in Jupiter, to the energy the US uses over the course of a year. Still huge, but actually maybe reachable with future fusion generators or a lot of nuclear generators. He also proposed that even though we've never found the exotic matter or energy needed to warp space in this way, perhaps normal energy can do so in a controllable fashion (please note that all matter and it is theorized even things like photons do have an impact on spacetime, it just takes massive amounts to make much of a difference). The issue is also a matter of control. You would need to control matter/energy in a way in which you could create these exact geometries in spacetime. From what I could tell, it wasn't really possible without using something you could oscillate (turn on/off very rapidly) which is not possible for normal matter. However, it is possible with things like electromagnetic fields. He proposed an experiment where they would use a powerful magnetic field and try to measure if it had an effect on spacetime. That was the "experiment" everyone claims. And it was inconclusive. He determined that even with the powerful magnetic field he used, if spacetime was warped the effect was so small they couldn't reliably measure it. At the moment we can't make magnets much more powerful, but advances in superconductivity are slowly increasing the power of our magnets so maybe we can try the experiment again once we improve our tech. Even if an effect is measured, note that you'd need a ludicrously powerful field given we weren't even sure if it was warping space with an incredibly powerful magnetic field. TLDR; no there has not been a successful demonstration of even a small part of this technology. It may work, but we aren't sure yet, and if it does it is a long way off. We need a lot of advances in power/energy to get there.
