Hello from Illinois, USA. I always enjoy the content. I lost my husky in 2020 to an inoperable stomach tumor/cancer. She was almost 5 years old. Her name was Dakota. Watching Sherpa and Key makes me laugh and smile. Only us husky owners know the struggle..😂. Give Sherpa a high five for me!

So many lovely gifts, Sherpa and his human ....ooops....hooman family are greatly appreciated and loved. It's nice to see people sending photos of their pets. You now have enough goodies to last through the winter. I doubt you get snowed in like we sometimes do here, but if you're housebound for a while both of you are prepared. Alaska is amazing I loved my time there as well as Colorado, another beautiful State I had a chance to stay in for awhile. The scenery in both is breath taking. Thankfully I didn't run into any of the massive grizzly bears while in the Alaskan woods, but had a close call with a huge mama moose and her young ones. You do not want to cross a moose, they're huge and unlike deer can be very aggressive, injuring more people a year than the bears.

The hot pepper jam is fantastic if you add it to a breakfast sandwich made with a toasted bagel, scrambled egg, slice of cheddar cheese and a bit of guacamole or sliced avocado! Sherpa is such a handsome boy and you are a brilliant Dad. The "Mighty Mac", Mackinac Bridge connects the two peninsulas of Michigan. I’m so jealous! Those peanut chews and saltwater taffy are my favorite candies from my favorite restaurant: Cracker Barrel. It’s authentic Appalachian southern food (the closest you’ll get to my southern grandma’s kitchen table) and they have an old fashioned general store attached. They’ve got an online store, so if you ever want to reorder those or try some different old fashioned candy, snacks, sodas, or pantry foods, you can get them there.

I am laughing so hard at the "Mechanic Bridge" Jamie LOL! It is pronounced "Makinaw". It is a French conjuction of the Ojibway (Native American) word Missilimaahkinaank which means " At the territory of the Mishinimaki which was a subtribe of the Ojibway tribe. This is the area that is the northernmost point of the lower peninsula where Lakes Huron and Michigan meet. This is also where that massive suspension bridge is located.

It is because the French were the first Europeans to see the Great Lakes...yes, I have lived in a few places including China, Finland and New England where pronunciation is closer to British English. It all always gives me a chuckle how different it all is.

Michigan license plate features Mackinaw bridge. ( Pronounced makinknaw) Long bridge to the island only 2 or 3 cars allowed on island. ambulance and firetruck. Horse (carriage/ wagons) and bicycle. More trivia movie with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour was filmed on the island. Movie title is Somewhere in Time. (Incase you want to check the island out). I think the hotel veranda is the longest (?) in the states. The movie is romantic/time travel made prior to Christopher Reeve accident when he became paralyzed. He was Superman in to he movies before Henry Cavill took over. You and Sarah might enjoy if you can find the movie.
