This route and the years and process on it has meant the world to me. It was the centre point of my climbing for nearly a third of my climbing life. A wild concept really. Putting the pieces together and trying to solve the problem was a wild journey. One which I wondered if it would ever end. Where was the finish line? How much further?
I am so incredibly psyched for the time I got to spend on the route and at this cliff. Sharing many hours with many people. I'll hold on to those years for forever.
The book I love reading to my daughter amzn.to/3SaTSEx

One of the best videos i have seen about a very long term project and the mental battle. My favourite part was when you showed the voices in your head. I have never seen this in any video before and it was really eyeopening. Crazy how much our brain can stop us from concentrating on what really matters. I have the same doubts and voices when trying to send something hard and I am close. The biggest power a climber can have is to be able to switch off and just exicute. Congratulation on this epic journey, well deserved victory.

The mind can be our biggest asset or a huge liability haha. It’s incredibly hard when it runs away from you. But that’s the endless journey of climbing and life 😀. Very fulfilling. I’m psyched to hear you liked it. Thank you

I will admit, I strive to have that growth in my climbing where I can go from screaming and angry at myself to happy that I am doing what I am doing. My project at what feels like my physical limit is playing mind games with me as well. Here is to an never ending battle of the mind where joy and peace is the real victory. Wonderful climb, even better insight and growth! Thanks Tom!

This video is gold!!! I cannot say in words how I was psyched by watching this. This is a whole new level of hard-projecting type of video. I love that there are almost no route details, focusing instead on your mental transformation and self reflection. This inspired me so much. What a piece of art right here! I am currently on my first projecting exp on a 7b trad in my home crag. After watching this I am so excited to imagine what will happen to me for the climbing journey in the next decades. Walls along with time change us.

Such great work. We first talked about this route what seems like a lifetime ago...and I get messages from people who are in agony when not sending after a week's effort! I am sure you learned a lot, so much in fact that you wanted nothing more than for the lessons to stop coming! Way to keep the eyes on the prize. Hope all is well with you, Audrey, and Amanda. Happy holidays! SB

Haha yes, Steve, that was a long long long time ago. The lessons rolled in thick. I’ve always thought there’s a lesson to be learned on each route and got frustrated at how many lesson were being learnt here haha. ‘Ok, i understand, I’m read to send now!’ Crazy journey but very fulfilling. We are great. Hope you and the fam are too.

Thank you. I appreciate that. It took a while to make it all come together. Felt almost as hard to make the video as it was to climb haha. But both feel awesome to finally have done and shared with the world

Such a good story. So universal for every climber psyched for (or obsessed with) a route. The processes, the doubt...the send.

A proper engaging video, bud. I think all of us who have been following your progress on this project were proper chuffed to hear it'd gone down, and now to have the struggles and the send codified here is a great final act to the story. Thanks for sharing your *very relatable* journey with us :)

wow, what a ride! had me tear up in a bunch of places! so happy for you, and also proud of you, that is some inspiring and otherwordly amount of dedication! thank you so much for sharing! there is something about your channel that makes everything so personal, and real, genuine and honest, and that is why we all watch you! thank you! and it also really goes to show how mental game is the most important thing in climbing, and if you are not true to yourself, and happy with what you do and what you want to do, it aint gonna happen! this was absolutely awesome to watch, and the end is perfect, bleeding fingers and staring into the camera with blood under your eye! haha tom you are awesome and thanks so much for sharing!

Wow, thanks so much, Thomas. Very kind words, mate. Psyched to hear it resonated with you and got something from it all. The head game is certainly a huge factor in climbing, especially when you're trying to push yourself. It was a wild journey and I learnt a lot from it all. Good luck on your climbing journey too
