Thanks! I thought the Christian Aramaic hymn book used in the "dark passages" were only in those passages, not all of it. And that there is some transfer involved, not just direct Aramaic. Given the horrible stuff about Mo, the personal stuff about epilepsy and demon, I think Mo existed and up at Petra. But yes there was so much changed. Petra can be original Mecca. A late map indicates it might be, as a memory. Need to hear all of Dr. Dan Gibson's short talks on his long playlist, not the main film, which doesn't have the details. In 2006 I was given a copy of that by a young black muslim wearing a keffiya on the underground after visiting Brixton Prison to interview an offender for a Pre-Sentence Report for Norwich Crown Court. That Muslim has often been filmed in Hyde Park around the Speakers corner area and I recognised him. It is possibly the worst book outside of Adolf Hitlers "Mein Kampf (My Jihad) i have ever tried to read contains a lot of hatred towards Jews, Christians and Non-Muslims. The worst thing is it is all rubbish, none of it is from the time the SIN says and this character Muhammad could not have been written in the 6th or 7th century because the Arabic language only had 16 consonents and no vowels until the 8th century!

Like for that small clan word you could say "band¹" and then at the bottom of the page say "¹note this is the arabic term such and such and it means such and such"

Thank you Saint Murad for producing this much more accurate Quran. I am not sure how much I would use it so I haven't bought it yet. If I do buy it I will buy the full version so that I can keep it on my Kindle and use it to talk with Muslims on the street. from what I have seen here I can see that it is a much more accurate translation than any other. In fact it is better than the original Arabic / Aramaic because people have the wrong idea about the translation of many words in it. Can I get to chapters and verses easily on the Kindle version? Is there an index in the book so that I can get anywhere quickly? My only disagreement with Saint Murad is about his concordance. I think that you should publish it. It will be valuable because it will advance scholarship on the Quran. It will be an extra valuable tool in Quranic studies. Obviously it will be very expensive because of the huge amount of work you have put into it. It will only be scholars and polemecists that will buy it. Also, it will help you because if people find any mistakes in it you can correct it and improve things even further than you already have. I am sure that any mistakes will be few and very minor if there are any at all. Best wishes.

One big question I have is about the approach of always translating an Arabic word with the same English word or phrase. Most languages have lots of words that can have different meanings depending on context. It would be surprising if there were no cases of a word in the Quran being used to mean different things in different verses. So I can't help wondering if this approach gets some verses wrong because of being rigid in this regard.

(I) ~ to strike, smite, stamp, beat; to liken or strike (a parable or similitude), to cite (an example or a dispute); (daraba fi al-ard) to journey; to draw or cast (a veil); (with prep. Like "bat" can still mean a winged creature OR an object to hit balls with (no Diddy) but the word SHOULD be the same So Muslims shouldn't change the word for word however, Muslim exegete should just explain THE MEANING rather than edit the words to lessen any negative connotations

@@bluebible1199 Yes it's still the same word. But a word that has two different meanings in one language usually has to be translated into two different words, depending on which meaning is intended. It's quite rare for there to be a word which has both meanings in both languages. Especially when the two languages are not closely related. So the point I'm trying to make is that the way Saint Murad describes his translation process gives the impression that there will be some parts of his translation where he mistranslates because of something equivalent to the English word "bat" always being translated to mean the winged mammal even when some of the usages are referring to the sports equipment.

I am looking forward to a translation that has the Aramaic and Syriac (basically Aramaic) words translated. We will then have as close to a perfect translation of the Quran. It will be better than the original text because it will just be a translation based on the language only. People have so many preconceived ideas about the original that the original is misleading. Only God can judge in the judgement day, right ? Because being a Judge is only attributed to God Then why aren’t muslims worship Jesus ? Because in the Quran, it says that Jesus will be the judge in the judgement day…. This means that Jesus is God. Muslim should worship the one who judge.
