If 3/5 is "on curve" for a three cost then Rocket/Groot's ceiling is far higher than what would be on curve for them. Doesn't need a full deck, even just a White Widow into Rocket/Groot is a massive advantage. I might put this small package into my good cards Ultron deck.

I played someone using this with Galactus and it was painful. They played rrg on a lane and then dropped hobgoblin or green goblin there and moved him and played Galactus there. It was in conquest so I tried to counter by filling the lane but you take -1 whenever you play on that lane. So it's a big boon to Galactus.

RocketGroot is a great card. But I won't be pulling for it with keys because I already have Blob and Selene is so bad. I just KNOW I'll feel bad down the line when RG starts popping up in many many builds in the future. 🙁

I had 4 keys and luckily got him ont the first so I can save keys! And I dedicate to getting 1 card even if I have to use 4 keys, so even if you already have the other cards, if you want a card and have 4 keys, then always go for that card either way👍

i like the card just because it goes in a "guardians" deck. you put him on 1 lane and you have more of a chance to land your guardian cards.

This is my initial deck utilizing JG & R&G & my game plan utilizing cards that require my opponent to play at certain locations. Test it out & let me know what you think: Kitty Pryde, Nebula, Rocket Raccoon, White Widow, Lizard, Groot, Rocket & Groot, Jean Grey, Spider-Man, War Machine, Sandman, Gamora. Turn 1: Nebula>KP Turn 2: WW>Lizard Turn 3: R&G>JG>SM(over Juggernaut because SM could possibly move Widows Bite somewhere else) Turn 4: WM>JG+Kitty>R&G+KP>SM+KP Turn 5: WM+Kitty>Sandman>JG+WW/Lizard>R&G+WW/Lizard Turn 6: With Sandman on 5; Gamora (for height), Groot+RR>Lizard>WW>KP (for width). Without Sandman; Gamora+RR>KP (for 2 locations)/Groot+SM>RR+KP>Lizard>WW>RR>KP (for 2 to 3 locations)

That last game indicates that either R&G or Scream is bugged, since scream still gains power when Luke cage is in play. My guess is it's Scream, as she says "steal" power, but she gains it regardless of whether or not the card she targets loses power.

when it comes to caches, i get the plug-and-play cards like rng, speed, and white widow, and the hyper-hyper-focused ones like pixie, hercules, frigga, and daken, but never anything in-between like doom 2099 or marvel boy

I like people sleeping on this card, because then it wont get nerfed. Realistically this is a 3/7 that can move once on top of having minor synergy points. It is probably marginally worse than red guardian, which is arguably the best card in the game atm, but that does not mean you dont play them. 2 broken cards in your deck is just extra broken. Honstly with these 2 super premium 3s Wiccan could become insane again.

Card has felt amazing so far! Got very lucky to land them in 2 keys, but went in ready to spend 4, so came out of it feeling lucky. Have found it feeling good in a few decks so far with Surfer and a Wiccan/Peni midrange shell as well. It and Speed are battling for a home in midrange I think. Also enjoying this in Ajax so far!

Rocket and Groot don't seem busted at all like some thought before, and pretty fair in my play experience at least. Nothing special, and they get around 3 hits on average so not the biggest power, but they do steal and can move, so they're still effective in what they do. Nothing super crazy but you don't always need anything super crazy, just effective!

3 hits on average is a 3/9 that can move once. How is that not busted in your opinion? That is just objectively the best 3 in the game. (I think it is more like 2 hits, meaning a 3/7 that can move once. Still better than almost anything you can play in almost any deck, but not turbo broken)

There’s more disruption with rocket and groot. When you think about it, he gets +2 when a card is played on his lane(+1 to the card,-1 for the enemy card). But I swear to god I saw this card as a slightly better punisher too so it’s definitely replaceable for him

I’ve found cards that spread points (positive or negative) tend to be a bit too finicky. Doom 2099 works because it’s overwhelming. But 1 power deducted from 1-3 cards just doesn’t usually affect the board enough. It needs to be global or a larger strike on a single card

It’s not a 1 power difference it’s a +2 difference for every card because you gain one and you lose one.

Congratulations you just played a 3/7 that starved your opponent of the information where he will end up. IMO this is just a better version of old Nocturne. It wont win you the game on the spot often, but increases average wins of pretty much any deck you put it in.

alex having trouble being able to clearly say yes open this card or skip is a symptom of how broken the key system is. resources are so scarce you have to wait until a card is clearly overpowered meta shaker to open, otherwise is a waste of resources to just get a fun or mid card. they need to release cards directly to series 4 again or drop fast

I played Nocturne in almost every deck till she got nerfed. So its obvious Rocket & Groot is the kind of card i like. If they dont play any card on their lane sure, a 3/3 feels short. But once they play a single time thats a solid 3/5 value. And if they play more than once in their lane... then starts to feel sooo good. Overall clearly not a meta breaker card by any means, but thats fine. Imo, is a great card to have in your collection. Is a real shame that the spotlights are pure dog shit hideous trashy poo poo. Token week for sure.
