I stood in line for so many midnight releases over the years. Tons of excitement for games like Skyrim and Mass Effect. Im still looking forward to PoE2, but not as much as those launches.

I'm 34 went to bed at 7AM to get up early hours of the morning for launch time of 3AM (I'm in Western Australia). I felt like I was a kid on Xmas eve all over again, could barely sleep out of excitement. Looking forward to your PoE2 guides, I can't wait to see what yourself and other creators start pumping out for this fantastic game.

Let me put it this way: I've been playing PoE since some time in 2018 (started in the middle of Bestiary league) and GGG hasn't done anything that was either so egregious that I would drop them, or that they haven't admitted was a mistake and fixed in all that time. They have earned a lot of my trust and as long as they earn it I will support them.

Affliction and Necropolis, where every chase unique was devalued and the game turned into a loot shower... killed my love for the game. As a 2013 player. I'm waiting to see if this changed

GGG are legit, so excited for poe2 in 1-2 days (when the game will actually be playable :)). Didnt know they were owned by tencent, im impressed that they have kept their game not pay to win or predatory. Massive respect for those guys.

Shockingly I slept okay. A lot of leagues kill my sleep but I think the lack of patch notes and baseline context made it easier for my mind to not go crazy all night.

I honestly think most POE1 players will primarily stick with POE1. I think the blasters and mindless mappers will find the game too thought intensive and go back. Another big chunk will just not like how much slower the game is, and another chunk won't like the practical elimination of one-button gaming. And I'll be happy they come for a bit to POE2, and then go back to POE1.
