I played the crap out of this when the demo dropped. This game is going to be a BLAST when it finally launches. Seriously enjoyed it. And man, you didn't even get any villagers join you! I had a busty tribal chick that was like 10 levels higher than me run up on me while I was building and joined me for some food, she kicked ASS in combat with me, and another one joined towards the end who specialized in cooking so she was the one I put in charge of farming / cooking for our little colony. The mask talent tree itself has so much potential....crap, you're making me want to play it again.

Their ability to handle a variety of tasks automatically-farming, gathering, even fighting-makes gameplay so much smoother. It's like having an efficient team that works tirelessly, allowing me to focus on other aspects of the game without feeling overwhelmed

Played this during its demo. Was surprisingly fun after I got my first worker to do the manual labor for me. Needed a lot of polish back then, but it has great potential if they can smooth out the combat.

I enjoyed this demo on NextFest and quickly added it to the wishlist. It's a pretty unique take on the survival sim and the 'inca' vibe was pretty palpable. Helped the game was decently looking and ran really well for pre-alpha.

I believe Tapirs can be pretty dangerous, although not usually hostile. There was a zoo worker at my local zoo that was attacked during a feeding and I think she almost lost her arm or hand. Nucking Futs!

So I got to try this during the last steamfest (survival fest? Did some demo during some event) and it's one I recommend to my survival friends. This came after stumbling upon a camp of hostile humans, beat the crap out of one with a club a bit when they got on their news and kinda look like they were begging for mercy? Their friend was shooting me with a bow so I left them alone, only for the first guy to get back up and shoot me in the back with a bow. and I'm not even mad, that was hilarious.

Early Conan exiles was beautiful. All I see nowadays are people complaining about the in game shop and the terrible updates. Regardless, you say a game like Conan I will 100% play it. I have 1,000+ hours into early Conan and literally loved every second of it. The private servers were filled with enjoyable activities and players.

Pro tip: To get grass out of the chest just despawn the grass in and around a chest. Makes it better visible aswell.

There is so much design influence from the Horizon series. Default character looks like Walmart Aloy. Inventory looks pretty similar. Skill tech tree looks nearly identical except horizontal.

I checked the Steam discussions tab (back when it was still in something like a Steam-Next Fest) and people were raving about being able to make crazy big booby women and that it doesn't really hold too much a candle (at that time!) to Conan Exiles or similar titles. I really hope something becomes of this title, the combat looks (like it could be) really good.

Very strong Conan Exiles vibe. The tech trees are cool and I'm assuming have something to do with the narrative. Character models seem decent--no uncanny valley-esque troglodytes like Enshrouded. Combat...eh, this looks like it still needs work. Not bad, but janky about covers it. It seems to be going all in on the survival aspects, which I'm OK with. A lot will depend how the networking pans out and if there's an offline mode. Definitely keeping an eye on it.

Beautiful game, but the reliance on waypoints and map markers in these kinds of games kills the fantasy of exploration. Even when you can disable them, most games that utilize them opt out of implementing more natural exploration features since they don't need them (ex. navigation tool you can hold in your hand, ability to draw on map, etc). We've really been spoiled by survival games of the past. But there are enough people in the Ubisoft school of design, that the game will likely be very successful, so I wish them good luck.

Everything looks great. It feels a little like a mix of Valheim and Novus Inceptio. The only thing that's bothering me is the server thing. I don't care for survival games online. Maybe when it gets PVE... Maybe... but I'd still rather single player.

I suppose that sign of times is that this genre is about to die, mainly because of how many of those things are out there, with a good chunk of them in various states of unfinished. It was zombies before, and, I think, military shooters before that, and something something before that. Now it's survival. Funny thing is, I've tried out a fair number of them, and I can't remember any one in particular that's memorable enough that it would stand out from the rest of them. Well, maybe Minecraft, and even that is because of the mods.
