So glad this made it to my sub box. Even if the contrast is a little iffy, just having this in the background while i went about dinner, glancing up occasionally when the commentary called for it, it was super entertaining. I --can't get over how gritty Battlefied 1 was-- think BF1 was one of the greatest FPS of the 2010s, and LNG's status as a seasoned Battlefield and Halo YT personality was a very welcome addition. Hope we get more of things like this!

Always struck me as weird how the BF1 Intro brought back hot-swapping from BF2 Modern Combat, except only when you died, but it was a unique "war is hell" sequence where you keep dying only to play as someone else And then from the rest of the campaign apparently it's just one-man army bullshit where you literally put on a WW1 equivalent of the Iron Man suit and just singlehandedly mow down hundreds of dudes or whatever from the sound of it

So if there is no on screen effect then all the gasmask debuff does is remove ADS. If you make the occlusion optional than in MP it will give some players an edge.

Idk where they got the idea that snipers do 30 damage at close range. I use snipers close quarter all the time. GM95 and Russian 1885 for the win baby!

You can see there's a distance between 0-whatever feet where the bullet does less damage until it gets to max damage and then drops off like normal. Other guns don't have that, they do max damage from 0 feet and drop off like normal

@@Williaso yes but the way u described it in the video is majorly exaggerated. Unless im not reading the charts right, most snipers do around 80-90 damage at very close range. Once u reach the sweetspot distance it does 100 damage, and then it drops off to around 70-80 (excluding the carcanos, 1885 TR, and M1903 experimental). Usually snipers are always two shot kill at most ranges excluding sweetspot. Snipers are a bit more powerful compared to the ones in BF4, but i think thats mostly done so that the historically accurate rifles can be effective when up against the SMGs and whatnot. Snipers in BF1 are very powerful, but their true potential and full power has to be harnessed by knowing the appropriate ranges for sweetspot.

Inaccurate? Only Storm of Steel is at all accurate for BF1, and it's not even completely accurate. These videos are just podcasts, and that's why I'm watching it. A game that prides itself on realism has no true example of historical accuracy. But gameplay takes presidence over pure accuracy. But this is just BF4 but with a WW1 paint to it. They could have at least taken a lesson from Verdun and made WW1 into a game. The guys themselves are great to listen to and are just a treat to just watch and listen to them play the game and talk about basically anything. Also all that Halo talk at the end was just the best! I now believe that the Halo games are canon in Halo. And I heard Girls und Panzer at the end. I'm happy to hear that.

@@Tee_B I myself am a big fan of the Main themes of Battlefield games and how they were always used in campaigns. BF3 stutter during the halo jump and in BF4 Warsaw was used during the sky hook scene. Basicly everytime the main theme sounds you know that somethink Bad ASS is happening ... and than 2042 came and APSOLUTLY RUINED THE SONG it sounds like dying violin which is vomiting at the same time 2142 had the best version with Sutter and Warsaw on second and than BF V theme
