Yeah, and it's also a direct jab at something someone once said about him. Capcom for some reason thought it was a good idea to force a reboot of the Devil May Cry series after it's 4th game and hired a completely different development team to work on it, naming it DmC: Devil May Cry. The new director made a lot of changes that fans didn't like and constantly threw jabs at the original series and it's fans. At one point he mocks the original Dante's design (which pretty much the same design you see them use in DMC5, but with a different outfit) for looking like a flamboyant cowboy, basically calling him gay as an insult. The reboot basically failed and Capcom gave the rights to Devil May Cry back to the original dev team to make DMC5. This whole hat dance scene is the old dev team showing that they're not some insecure weirdos and can even put Dante in a scene where he's pulling an MJ dance and nothing bad will happen. TL;DR on the Reboot Dev team: They were basically a bunch of wannabe dudebros who thought Dante needed to be cooler by fucking prostitutes, constantly swearing, smoking, and basically doing anything an edgy 14 year old on the internet thought was cool back in 2010. There's actually a bunch of different videos that go into why the reboot was a colossal failure to the fanbase. DMC 5 is a game where Virgil's brother and Virgil's son and Virgil comes to try and stop Virgil from destroying the world, so the whole game is about Virgil, he IS the main character.

DMC5 delivered basically everything a fan of the series would want. It doesn't needlessly change things just to be different, but focused on polishing the aspects people loved about the series instead, then slightly expanded on them in a way that feels natural. The same goes for the story, which beautifully brings together many of the narrative threads throughout the series, from large aspects like Vergil's fate and Nero's heritage down to details like the (re)appearance of the "Angelo" enemy type or the origin of V's summons. They even drew inspiration from the failed reboot attempt for quality of life features or design details. All in all this game managed the impossible and is able to stand alongside the previous gold standard of the series (DMC3) and the nostalgia that comes with it.

the greatest character action game of all time. i know, i know, god hand, dmc3, bayonetta 2, all great, truly. had this game not existed, the war would still be raging between fans of the three. but come now. dmc5 is mechanically triumphant in ways most character action games can only dream of.

Most of the music Maxor used in this series was the actual in game music, the character themes are so good there's no reason to replace them, Even V's theme which is the weakest of the 3(4 if we count Bury the Light) is still a banger, I think the only one he replaced was the urizen boss fight where he added Sam's Theme from MGR:Revengence, which also has a banger OST.
