@@Guirko i mean it was for comical humor sake but yeah im aware multiple playthroughs will net shorter times especially depending on completion rate. But the size of Elden Ring is ridiculous regardless. Im sure I've casually reached 200 hours at this point myself and I've still only beaten Godrick. Its not a bash, its a compliment. Regardless of my internal screaming.

He did say that it wouldn’t be soon in the interview he did. Meaning he’s probably waiting to get Sumeru (the next nation coming) to be finished and him getting good clips from that as well and add that onto the video. Cuz then it will literally be double or maybe even triple the content that he did when his first video came out. I just remember him saying that it wouldn’t be soon. He said he will at some point. While Elden Ring is a good game, I do not recommend it if it's gonna be your first Souls game. If you want to get into the Souls series, I'd personally suggest doing Dark Souls 1 first. You'll still die a lot, but it's slower than Elden Ring, which should make it easier. In theory. Just remember that no matter which Souls game you start with, you are going to die. A lot.

Actually, i recommend Demon's souls...especially with the Remake [if they have a PS5 tho] Reasons? 1: it's even slower than Dark Souls 1, and basically completely introduces for the first time in the franchise everything "soulslike" 2: the bosses are relatively easy 3: i assume that the graphics of the REMAKE will make them go "ohhh" and "awww" and help with frustation of first time souls difficulty 4: the lore and story is simpler than other games and can also serve as a introduction point for miazaki's wild ride storytelling ways.

If anything id suggest sekiro before elden ring, if you get used to the slower Dark Souls or Demon Souls, it will obviously help with general skills, but you will have to unlearn a lot of strategies to be able to effectively fight Elden Ring bosses which are fought far more aggressively (you can fight them like souls bosses if you want to make them substantially harder). Sekiro will get you used to the general level of aggression required, teaches you about posture management and tools, and has a more forgiving defensive mechanic for learning and dealing with bosses that hold some attacks and instantly release others. That or honestly just start with elden ring and be willing to experiment a lot

Well then i recommend Dark Souls 3 or Bloodborne as your first. Because i played Dark Souls 1 first, and the slow gameplay coupled with the drab medieval setting (which doesn't appeal to me much) made me lose interest before it had a chance to hook me. Then i played Bloodborne years later and i was enthralled by the atmosphere, setting, and aggressive gameplay. Which in turn got me addicted to the souls gameplay loop and led me to play and enjoy all the other souls games (except 2).

I’d disagree honestly. Elden ring is easily the most accessible. And the quality of life improvements more than make up for the complexity. Jumping in particular is SORELY missed if you go back to older games.

The thing about patches booting you off the cliff is legit. It’s a staple of basically every Fromsoft game that Patches is an NPC who betrays you at every turn and begs for mercy when the player survives. He ironically ends up becoming one of the best characters in the series, especially in Dark Souls 3. His story really gets explored in the DLC. He’s the worst. And the best. But also the worst. Lol
