Gah! I hate it when people say “what’s the point of dress watches?! They aren’t every day like my dive watch is” ….. but I’ve always thought dress watches look soooo dang COOL casual! It’s my favourite styling. But I guess it’s good to have 200m water resistance in the off chance that I go deep sea diving… impromptu 😜 fantastic video as always! I absolutely loved this!

The 34mm vintage Rolex and Tudors are really interesting I got a Tudor ref. 7965 Oyster-Prince on the original riveted bracelet, it is a wonderful watch and it does not wear like a 34mm watch. It wears larger thanks to the design of it and the bracelet makes lots of difference too! These are really under valued and I think they will go up in value a lot!

My dad had a 2 tone Rolex Datejust with the roman numerals almost identical to that one that he got when I was 6 years old. He wore it constantly and I always think of him whenever I see one. Before he died in 2009 he gave it to his dad, who died a couple years later. I'm not sure where the watch ended up. If I ever buy a Rolex it will be that one, just for the memories.

I started out with smaller vintage watches and still find myself lusting after dressier watches on leather in the 26-37mm range. I wear my Rolex Explorer II most days but I’ll wear a Santos-Dumont with shorts and sandals and not think twice about it.

The only rule is buy what you love, wear what makes you happy and don’t be anything other than yourself.
