i always think this when you apologize for "talking too much" but it never ocurred to me to comment it; i watch your channel *because* of the chatty, long form content. it's what i enjoy and what im here for, and im sure im not the only one. it would be nothing but lovely vibes and appreciation from me and what im pretty sure is most of your viewers; if you embrace the format you're naturally inclined to make.

Hi! I don't know if I commented here before, but I have severe sleep apnea, narcolepsy and an autoimmune disease that messes with my sleep (way too tired or way too awake) and I have done three sleep studies. I don't know how the facility you will be in is, but for mine it was like sleeping in a hotel room with wires all over me. The overnight ones are not as bad as people say, but I had one where I had to take a series of "naps" throughout the day after an overnight study and that one was AWFUL, so uncomfortable. But I don't know your exact issues, it may go OK for you. I would recommend bringing your own pillow and making sure they keep the room cold. Also use conditioner to get the goop they stick the wires to your head with off. It is not the most comfortable experience ever, but also I am autistic and this makes things a bit more complex, the stimulation is just different in rooms that are not my own, and that made me uncomfortable. THe daytime nap study was very anxiety inducing and seemed to last forever, so hopefully I never have to do that again. I want to tell you to keep your hopes up, it sounds like you have a good doctor, they will help you. Its all worth it, I've been sleeping normally for about a year now and it feels 10000000% better. You life is literally going to change.

nice to see you back :-) hopefully this more chill approach is more manageable for you while you've got so much going on. i kind of regret not getting that gingham hon this year, hoping they have *some* nice designs for 2025. the binder looks so nice now it's all full up. i also have some spooky decorations on my (off brand) crocs. i've got one of an alien saying 'i need space' which is a big mood
@elizabethharry15505 ай бұрын
If you ask for a “perfect bound” booklet, the margins should be even. Saddle stitch or stapled bindings do better with a wide margin so the slight unevenness aren’t as noticeable! I only mention this in case you ever want to try a re-print :)

I’ve had a lumbar puncture before and they’re not as scary as they seem if that’s any comfort! Love the workbook idea ☺️, the ghost illustrations are the cutest 🥹
@hannahk97125 ай бұрын
I've come close to getting one but ultimately didn't need it, however they were very thorough in explaining the process to me and that did help a lot with the anxiety. It seems very intimidating, but my sister comforted me (because she has already had one) that it truely isn't as scary as they make it out to be :)
@FloreCreations5 ай бұрын
Agree with this! It sounds super scary, but they walk you through the process so well
@MaikeOatley5 ай бұрын
I‘ve had one and I also found it to be less scary than it sounds, though for context I don’t have issues with needles in general. It was definitely uncomfortable, more like a dull pain and pressure. And I didn’t see the needle.
@Sydtoole35 ай бұрын
The process was ok for me (my partner has had one too) and I HATE needles but luckily you cant see anything lol. The harder part was the following week. I had intense pressure in my head if I was sitting up/standing for more than 10 min (but no pain) while my partner had killer headaches BUT it does go away as soon as you lie down for a minute or two. So just be prepared to lay low for about a week. Binge some shows/read/game - just rest and be as comfortable as possible. You've got this!

I am so sorry they’re making you do a lumbar puncture. I’ve heard they aren’t nearly as bad as they make them seem in media and such, but I’ve never had one. My doctor told me we could do a lumbar puncture but he didn’t believe in putting patients through it if he didn’t have to. After my sleep study, he was like, “Yeah…this is plenty of data to go on for a diagnosis,” so he never ordered one for me. He said the fact I had cataplexy symptoms is what solidified his confidence in making that diagnosis (along with the sleep study). I’m curious why they’re doing two nights of sleep studies for you. Maybe they’re not measuring everything in one night? In which case, maybe it won’t be so bad because you won’t have ALL the things hooked up to you all at once? I had a night of sleep study, then a daytime sleep latency test where they collected data as I did a series of naps. I wish you the best on your tests and that you get answers-hopefully answers with helpful solutions. I find sleep stuff fascinating, so I appreciate your updates. I just wish we weren’t having to live through all the terrible sleep stuff.

With the booklet formatting, you have to be the one to alter your formatting depending on how many sheets are in each signature. I think it's called offsetting. You can usually do that in InDesign but I know you don't use that :/ but yes, that's just the nature of paper printing/binding that publishers build into their files.

I’m glad you’re making progress! Where I’m from, it’s very hard to get a lumbar puncture, which sucks because they can actually be a great diagnostic tool. They seem a bit scary, but they can be really good for getting certain answers. In my experience, the sleep watches and overnight studies aren’t as good because they’re purely observational (i.e. they see how you sleep for a few nights, but not consistently. they see that you may snore or oversleep or toss and turn, but can’t really tell you why) regardless, just being on the radar of sleep clinics etc is really good! there’s been a big spike in sleep issues recently and so there’s a lot of professionals studying sleep disorders in general and trying to come up with answers. it’s nice to have a team behind you :) i’m glad they’re taking you seriously. i hope that things continue on well!!!

I had to do the 2 day sleep study and yeah it sucked 😅 I was so anxious because of the whole ‘big brothers watching’ but I tested out of both likely because of my medications. For sure bring things to keep you entertained and not be scared to let your technician know to use the restroom because of all the cables and wires. The day part sucks because you can’t sleep when your body wants too.

As you mentioned they are for keeping us in the loop while you're working through multiple areas of your life that are very demanding atm i'm glad to hear that the sleep clinic people are taking you seriously, and though the wait is a pain (i can relate as i'm dealing with similar stuff for my autism diagnosis and gender affirming surgery) it's a really big step forward and i'm so happy for you! Finally, i just want to say that your videos are as relaxing as ever and i am truly grateful to you for sharing them with us. And as far as taking your time to make them and/or experimenting with the kind of content you want to make, i think i speak for the vast majority of us when i say that we'll enjoy whatever you decide to put your mind to because you naturally make your interests enjoyable to witness. ps: i've never worn crocs myself, but i've herd they're v v v comfy. She's mentioned before that it's a 4+ year old printer that she already had, and that she has put off buying a new one because printer shopping is very stressful (as you mentioned, they all have their own drawbacks). She had a video testing different photo printers awhile ago if you want to look at that (from a few months ago, you can find it in her video history), but based on her recent videos, I think she still just uses her home printer for most things. Hope that answers your question!

The queen square team are pretty good but I’m not sure they know enough about autism and adhd which both cause most sleep issues. Be super super careful with the lumbar puncture. You look like you have Ehlers Danlos and as such lumbar punctures should be avoided as they can cause serious spinal CSF leaks and you do not want one of those! Hope the ouchie heals soon!

Ghost vase use - a home made reed diffuser. I’ve just made one as a practical way to use a heirloom decanter from the 50’s. Rather than it sitting unused in a cupboard. After some research, Liquid Fractionated Coconut Oil is the best oil to use. I can tailor the smell by using the essential oils that I know won’t trigger any unhelpful symptoms.
