I was there, Billy is a magical treasure. He seems to be looking and sounding better now than he has in years. What an honor to see him perform his iconic music at this level.

He's dropped the tune a full step from the record to be able to do this.

@tpstoner1 Hey, that's a singer secret, like a magician giving away the trick. 😊 Take care.

I saw an interview (can't recall where) where Billy Joel was asked why he didn't write/sing new songs. I believe he said that as he's gotten older, he didn't like the sound of his voice any more. I am here to say that we as his audience had also gotten older and we are now more in tune with the color that age brings to a singer like Billy Joel's voice. Billy Joel's voice truly is like "fine wine" and it has gotten better with age. Are his original recordings still fantastic and a pleasure to listen to? Of course! But the timber of Billy Joel's voice has reached the stage of being mellow.....which older people like me can and do readily appreciate. Thank You Billy Joel for your continuing to share your fabulous instrument with all your fans. We appreciate you more now than you can imagine.

Yep. I saw that interview as well. I think it was the brief 3 minute intro during the Grammy awards leading into him performing his new song. When I heard him say he doesn’t like his voice, I was incredulous. There are tens, if not hundreds, of millions of people who vehemently disagree with him.

BILL’S STILL GOT IT! 🙌🙌🙌 That back surgery was such a b*tch for him to recover from, but it put him in such a healthier place physically. He’s never sounded bad, BUT he looks and sounds better than he did 20 years ago. Can’t wait to see him with Stevie Nicks next spring in Dallas and at the Garden after that and ready to get blown away AGAIN. He absolutely never disappoints. Billy’s like a new man up there lately, look how much fun he’s having! ❤
