+Ζωή Π Billy has ditched so many of his musicians. Lib was with him for 30 years. His original bass player, Doug Stegmeyer actually killed himself in 1995 because he was so depressed that Billy dumped him after he was so loyal to him.

I think this is one of Springsteen's finest moments as a vocalist. Not saying that his own stuff isn't great, but he really added something to this performance with his vocal ability. A very fresh take on an old classic.

There are few things more boringly predictable in the world of music quite like people who hear an artist they prefer sing a song by another artist and say that the artist they prefer was the bright spot or somehow better. Typically I can see where they’re coming from with the statement like that, especially when they add in their own bias. But in this case? No. Bruce Springsteen can’t sing anything out of his typical range. But this was all over the place. And they had the echo on his mic turned so far up that anyone could sound good singing this. I’m not trying to be a dick.. But cmon. These two vocalists are in entirely different categories from each other. Bruce is a fantastic songwriter and performer. I would never take anything away from him. But as a vocalist, he’s not fit to Billy Joel’s shoes

But, one thing can be seen: The Boss is slim an Sporty, and he`s ability to sing is quiet better than Joels. Joels Voice suffers from the overweight he has. Bytheway, a slimmer Billy Joel is certainly still a handsome Boy - despite his Age, but the bigger the Richmans Stomach is, the less he has enough Air to sing. The same as Peter Gabriel. See and listen to Peter Gabriel, and you rec that he has Problems to breathe as easily when he was Young. and this is a hard Chaellenge for every "natural" Singer, because they have not the Technique a fat Pavarotti had. So, don`t misunderstand me hereby, i never would dislike Peter or Bill, but they have an easier live, and it is way more easier for them to perform when they are 10-15kg lighter. So we can see when the Boss sings here with the Pianoman. PS: I am Fat by myselve. 180cm tall, and 145kg. I know by heart what this means ;-)
@jb05796 жыл бұрын
LaPavoniMac I agree, but consider Dylan, a genius by any standard. Voice only adds a nuance...
