I am being completely honest when I say this build competes with the Ravenous and may be better. There's something about the Merciless that makes me believe that. It's fire rate is next to none as well as the dmg it deals. There's no weapon like it so therefore it is special, check the build out and tell me what you think.

I don't think its better than the Ravenous mainly because you have to use braced. I made a very similar build a while back and I like it but prefer the Ravenous myself.

@@jbizzle113 the merciles is an acquired taste I've learned to compensate the upwards kick and have be able to be verry effective with it .. I think its definitely underrated but like the rav it has its a learning curve

Although I feel Div 1 has a more overall apocalyptic immersive feel to it, I think Div 2 has more build diversity. This is a great example of that. It’s not meta but it looks to be a fun and viable build. Only if they could rework some of the underused talents, brand and gear sets. Thanks for sharing. Gonna give the build a try.

Yea, Div 1 made it feel real. Div 2 was about them figuring out how to give players more things to do. Hopefully, Div 3 combines what they learned from both.

Yes the actual explosion is affected by your explosive damage stats. If the amp damage that isn't. I did a quick test on my setup. 3 piece strikers, Sawyers, Grupo backpack w/vigilance, petrov chest w/braced. When i used gunner the explosion hit for 1.2 something million. I switched to demo(all weapon specs the same as gunner), and the explosion hit for 1.3 something million.

The only exotic or named item I’ve not managed to achieve in three years the damn Ravenous - but I do have a variation on this build with China and Grupo and Merciless. But need to check if that explosive damage actually works or not. My build is probably pre-nerf. Gonna dig it out, dust it off. Thanks for the motivation iDentity 👍🏽

Wasn't having any luck with Yaahl pieces so I used the gift backpack and a walker and Harris mask and I'm putting up pretty similar numbers to what identity was putting up. Really like the build, I missed the merciless.

I think the only way to test it would be a build with no crit and no amplified skills. One with no explosion boos and one with. Make sure both builds have no weapon attributes so they are similar. Awesome idea I will have to try this build.

I got the Ruthless variant of the Merciless. I run it with 2 pc Walkers (chest piece, Embraced and backpack, Vigilance) 1 Ceska, 1 Grupo , contractors and foxes. Hits hard but, using the same build with the Ravenous out dps my Ruthless. But love em both, especially the Ruthless aesthetics looks.

After watching a few of your clips on skill builds. I am wondering, I see you are using Kinetic Momentum which amplifies skill dmg. I am wondering if the though behind the CHD and CHC version with thr Capacitor, does it make sense if we run Spark talent if we want to push to do more dmg with the Capacitor? Even can run the named Grupo chest? Or Obliterate?

I run my Merciless build with 4 piece Strikers, Ceska Braced chest piece, Sawyers knees. I have 5 pieces with weapon damage and I'm very squishy, I may change to Armor cores like you. The weapon handling, rate of fire and double fire helps stack Strikers pretty quickly.

You finally got on that weapon handling my guy!!! People are sleeping on it. I just made a weapon handling/concussion build with named SMG Safety Distance. I accidentally discovered this, but a SMG with headshot dmg is a MONSTER. It’s just hard hitting their head ya know so weapon handling and lower RPM. You should try it.

@@iDentityUS I use Safety Distance which is the other named MPX, but I would use anything that has a RPM of 850 or lower. SMG are good at stability but bad at accuracy. So the problem lies with accurately hitting the bullets on th3 head,

I loved the merciless in year 1, then after i beat Warlords, i pretty much fell off on TD2 for a few years. I only jumped back in last year after i got my son into the first division. After starting back up on TD2 after Christmas, i was so disappointed at what they did to my baby! Then i found out how much weapon handling helps the weapon! Now im all about putting a build together around it!

The ruthless/braced has been my go to build for months, I love that gun on full reds, it shreds everything, just a shame it isn't as viable in pvp without running striker.

The way I used my Merciless was with Demolitionist specialization with 2 peices of Grupo and one piece of China light. The best thing I did was randomly timing a hit on chunga with a mortar & a Seeker mine, and time that seven shot from the merciless. Or you just take out a whole wave coming at me .

Out of interest, how many times did you have to build the Vedmedytsya Vest to get those rolls? I must have built 30 and I couldn't get crit chance and crit damage on it. That said, it's a build that I want to try out because I haven't really used the Merciless to date. Thanks for sharing.

The 14th shot does Explosive damage & weapon damage. So it does 500% Explosive damage in an AoE & 500% Weapon damage on the 14th hit. Also it does this BEFORE the massive explosion visual. So if you're seeing the explosion visual you already did the Explosion & Damage on the previous shot. I feel like it's best used stacking crit damage. Try 2 PC Groupo, 1 PC China Light, 1 Ceska, 1 Overlord, & Sawyers w/ Demolishonist. You should get good Explosion & Amp shot damage. Still run braced on chest.

B, I have always loved the Merciless. I have a 3 piece Striker and 3 Overlord that SHREDS everything. Weapon handling is rolled everywhere. As well as Over watch and Vigilance. Great build!

Bit of a tangent and a warning. I was trying out builds with Merciless a few days ago and decided to change Merciless's appearance to the Ruthless variant, using the Convert blueprint. It took my god-rolled Merciless, rerolled the stats to trash and gave me the Ruthless skin. Just...wow.

this is SOLID. - I would change the 2x Yahl, although cool with weapon dmg stacking with W&H , opportunity knocks for specific pieces that would be more beneficial for the build, not really needing the 10% Haz Pro although nice to have. 10% Health Damage is nice, but again =X I'm also no Identity lol.

Love the gun always use with overlord 3 pieces,glass c. So I have all weapon handling, don't need braced, love that has scoope which is missing from ravenous, absurd !!! rifle should have always have scoope, explosive damage from other gear doesn't make difference for both rifle.i wish to know why they have to always ruin exotic guns with some stupid talent's/ handling/low mag. Exotic should be something special ,powerful , and mostly because some of them is so hard to get

@@iDentityUS IMO, the ND’s damage distribution is criminally underrated. I run missions with DPS and skill guys all time. At the end of the missions, their builds don't produce.

I don't ever use the ravenous to deal damage with it, it's most useful being used for it's procs and then swapping to your other weapon (amplified damage on the other weapon)

I belive ur wrong about hanging with rave... mery has damage but missing the hugh ability to armour urself up instantly with just the gun. Different animal! Cant touch rave becUse of that that insane talent. Amplified dMage is your weapon damage bonus. Weapon dam is your straight red core dam.

Okay go back two years ago when did that one hitter quitter stickies bomb lot of hatter was mad you about that build so I did something similar to that build with the Merciless. Its don’t hits as hard like stickies bomb you did couple years ago before UBISOFT nerf stacking explosive and skill damage build. Composure > Vigilance. You were losing Vigilance almost always (ie. It was never getting close to the 4 second cooldown you needed to reset), which means that backpack talent is about 75-90% ineffective. You HAVE to pop up and shoot the enemies, and without a shield, you’re getting hit… losing Vigilance each time. Because you’re almost always shooting from cover, Composure is the talent to use… period. An always-on 15% weapon damage buff - ALWAYS - never lost on taking damage. Composure > Vigilance.

Yes it’s much better, I went manhunt 133 on PS4 with this weapon. When I was experimenting with explosives dmg. But I have 2 piece grupo, 2 piece Walker, 1 piece China light and fox knee pads. I had weapon handling rolled on everything and 30% explosive dmg. Feel free to look up my stats. Lockade_995
