Its funny how back then we used to think it was the best quality... now we thought that 1080p is the best but nope! KZbin has up to 2160k (4k). 4k may look amazing with all the little details now but that is what we say now. In the future 10 years from now they will probably have a 8-10k tv and maybe have 8-10k resolution on KZbin. Technology is awesome

It's a shame that other companies don't adopt the same attitude as Google. The only thing I've seen over the last 20 years is companies announcing what they're taking away from employees. Worse healthcare plans, reductions in pay, watching co-workers getting laid-off, having the company sold from under you (sometimes several times). I sat at the same desk over 14 years and had the company name on my paycheck change 4 times...

Just an FYI- Straight from the source ....Employee referrals are given top priority. If you do not know of anyone that works at Google that can vouch for you, then I would wait a year before applying again. If an applicant has too many rejections, it can hurt their chances, so it would be wise to wait about a year.

So to be specific, the carrier doesnt create the OS system, since not all phones are android enabled. Secondly in order for an OS to work effectively and move through market applicatons, and phone settings. The android apps that need to be processed through a data network need a few things.

you need a processor, you need the data plan from your carrier and you also need the appropriate updates from google for your smartphone to work. Lets break down as if you were 4 years old. The udpates are necessary for software to work. the carriers function is just to send and receive data, the processor moves content from software to network and back. updates are created by google i.e. gingerbread, honey comb, and froyo

@jamenfun Your carrier is at fault, not Google. It is up to the carriers (and in some cases, the manufacturer) to provide updates to each model of Android phones [if they customise the OS, they have to provide updates for it]. In the case of the Nexus, it was Google branded (albeit produced by HTC) and, as such, Google provided the updates for said phone. Whine to your carrier about your phone's update, not to Google.

@MYVloliDiruJP I am a student in computer engineering. Comp engineering studies both software programming, and hardware development. So it is a good major for someone who would like the option of working with hardware, while still being able to work with software. Computer Science is almost entirely software, and gets much deeper into software development than comp engineering. I prefer comp engin. b/c it gives both options of software development and hardware development as a potential career.

What I don't understand is google screams creativity, but even though I've only seen my video as a cover letter, I have yet to hear anything from them. Selective creativity maybe? And also asking for entrepreneurial types...even though I created an entire marketing plan for the University of Iowa's Entrepreneurship program. Feels like unless you have a 4.1 GPA and a reference letter from the dean of your college, you are out.

Man!!! You're sooooo right!! I'm 34m so you can say I spent over 90% watching TV in the so-called "SD" (Standard Definition). I agree watching a rugby game on HD looks much better, but people complain about "SD" as if videos have been always HD and now we've been downgraded!!! It's so funny and pitiful at the same time!!! But even funnier is to watch a 15-20 year old when first faced against a DOS-like console (Win, Linux, you name it), they can´t believe we ever used those things...

+Devin Jurishi Upon searching it seems to be free haircuts, free food, free gym, cheap massage parlours, free swimming pools, basketball courts, free laundry centers, arcade videogames, cheap childcare for staff (kinderplex-although google tried to increase prices which hit the news once), the list may go on. Another video has a staff member talking about how certain teams have no set schedule on when to come to work, and can arrange it all themselves. I think the scooters and bikes staff use (free from Google?) are due to their push for a greener environment, so there may be few vehicles parked at that HQ. It's essentially a rich boys University campus. With a supposed net worth of 350 billion+ dollars, expect no less, although Google CEO Brin stated a few years ago that they cut down on certain items such as snacks, to “reset expectations” regarding staff entitlement. You don't want those staff getting lazy(ier). No mention if they only focused on cuts for the lowest positions or lowest paid at Google or not, or if some of these freebies are only for those at the top. I suspect staff must work their way up for some of these entitlements. If not then it just pushes them more into the limelight on how accurate suggestions are that Google is one large internet monopoly. Perhaps I'm wrong and at the end of the video above the 'staff' were paid for their great acting skills, and a madman can be heard in the background swearing, kicking chairs and shouting GET BACK TO WORK

Secondly, it's basically the largest (or one of the largest...I don't keep up with that stuff regularly) search engines in the world. That's all it has going for it, really. That's all the average person knows about them, other than the recent acquirements of a few other companies, which most people aren't aware about anyway. I'd much rather be able to say, "My company truly helps people for a good cause" instead of "my company is one of the world's largest and is money hungry."
