He was Da Man! My all time favorite artist! Nobody, but nobody loved him and was a bigger fan than me. I never got the chance to meet him, and that is something that I shall always regret. This new album is just the beginning. There is enough music in that vault until the year 2900! I hope that the estate allows us to hear a large majority of it in the coming years. He is so sadly missed! Prince forever! Peace.

Just attempted to listen to this album. I've been a huge Prince fan for decades, first saw him live in 1986 and 40 times since in 4 different countries and met him 3 times...I say this to state my credentials as a fan. I think this album has way too much female vocal and not enough of Prince, I feel like the estate is cranking out albums that he himself didn't want, that's why they remained in the vault. The other crazy thing is that it's sold as a double LP at high price with only THREE sides. Takes the piss

I think you're a credentialed grumpy Prince fan with no real insights unless you have worked with him closely for years like Morris. How would anyone really. know what Prince wanted behind closed doors? Enjoy the music and appreciate his extraordinary legacy.

I brought a"live l.p." after his death, & it was just the back up singers. I had previously heard the concert, so I know he was there. UPDATE : I received my album today & gave it a listen, Yes it is Prince's music, but it doesn't sound quite finished. No I don't think he would have released this, but I'm glad I can add it to my collection. This makes 20 of his albums I have ! Purple Reigns !

Of course Prince was no prophet. There is a reason why W2A sounds so relevant and relatable 10 yrs after it was produced. Same reason why Marvin Gaye's What's Going On album is STILL so relevant and relatable 50 years later: it bespeaks of how stagnant the socio-economic progress is in this country. Otherwise this album is definately up to date with up to date Prince fans who have followed him as I have since the late 1970's and early 80's. For those who yearn for mainstream media's stuck in time warp 1984 era this work may not be for you. As Prince himself explained at the beginning of one of his recent live concerts: "For those of you who came here to get your Purple Rain on: Your in the wrong house!"

Tyka sold her shares a few days ago Prince likeness his name future royalties publishing a few other things. I hope it was worth it. She gave away the candy store Tyka sold 90% she kept 10%. Her other three siblings said she was impatient. Susan said the others aren't selling anything.
