This beautiful man has been singing since the late 70s. Writing music for about as long or within a few years of his career starting off. He has done so much for the industry & his fans for almost 4 decades before he died (and that doesn't count the time it took before 1978'ish for him to get where he was at that point, popularity wise. I was only 3/4 years old in 1978 so I don't know). I fell in love with the man in the mid 80s when Purple Rain came about and I was about 10/11 years old (now 46). I didn't keep up with everything he did but he always had that place in my heart. Loved watching/seeing the man he became over the years though. :)
