Brilliant video, we have been going Keswick every year for last 10yrs. Amazing town in the lakes, plenty of shops, lots of pubs and restaurants and places to eat. Fantastic bus service running from outside Booths supermarket. We always get a 7 day megarider bus ticket while there and can get on and off as much as you like in the lakes, and is great for taking you to walk starting points too. Nice cinema and theatre too so some good plays on and past few years there's been a weekend concert there too. 👍

Just been to Keswick last week, favourite town in the lakes! Me Dad used to go there as a boy, and took me several times. His favourite place was Friars Crag, so whenever we're up there, it's become somewhat of a pilgrimage. We're Geordie born and bred, from Wallsend, but moved o South Wales when I was 11 (now 46). One big miss in your vid was The Olde Keswickian, best fish and chips in the world!!! Great vid again!

I had some. Bloody expensive too 😅

I am from Cockermouth near Keswick and I can't speak for chips, but by far the best fish I've ever had was from the Cod Father in Silloth. It's that good I once made the hour round trip from Cockermouth just because I was craving it.

I've hiked everything worth hiking in the UK, from Ben Nevis, Skiddaw (boring), Scafell Pike, The Storr, Helvellyn (via Striding Edge of course), you name it, done most of them. ( never done Snowdon but apparently it isn't all that, similar to Ben Nevis). However, I have to say that my favorite hiking days are on Cat Bells. Its an easy walk, even for older/younger hikers, but the views are fantastic and due to the elevation, there is never any risk of clouds obscuring your views. Climbed it at least 8 times and perfect views every single time. A full lap of derwent is also a good one but can take quite a while. Keswick and Windermere are both trips me and the family take on a regular basis. Truly English countryside at its finest.
