Here is a guy who has transcended the sport. It's no longer a question of whether he's the greatest QB to ever play, that's not even a debate (at 41 he's still better than any active QB by a mile). It's really no longer a question if he will go down as the greatest NFL player to ever play, I think he pretty much has that sealed up too. What he is striving for now is to go down as the single most valuable athlete in the history of sports. Personally, I think he is. He sparks more jealousy and hatred than any other athlete I've ever seen, it's because he's more successful than any athlete I've ever seen. Before Jordan basketball was a niche sport in the rest of the world and he was the driving force to it becoming a major sport in Europe, Asia and S America. Brady does not evoke the same excitement and visceral enjoyment that MJ did. Brady is the best qb ever but he doesn't have the cultural impact of Jordan, its not even close actually. Brady plays a position that is 70% mental and 30% physical whereas Jordan was a physical and mental freak.
