Something you've left out, I think Loyola's academic achievements alone are testament to it being the best there is in the country. This year (2022), they had the best JAMB result in the country, 362. Over 70 percent of the graduating class made over 300 in JAMB. They also hold the record for the first and only perfect scores in the American College Test (ACT) in West Africa in 2020. They've had the best SAT 1 scores the country has ever produced 1590 of 1600 and perfect SAT 2 scores 2400/2400. They have also produced the best WAEC results more times than any other school since writing the exam for the first time in 2002 as well as produced the best JAMB result more times than any single institution in the country a total of 6 times - 2003, 2004, 2009, 2012, 2013, 2022. They produced the only student that has won Cowbellpedia nationally in the junior and senior categories and the best male and female students in WAEC in 2017 and 2019. What's most impressive to me is that they consistently place more than 80 percent of every graduating class in top/ivy league universities around the world with generous scholarship offers. This year and the previous, they had students attend MIT, Cornell, John Hopkins, Dartmouth, Brown, New York Uni (NYU), Carniegie Mellon, Notre Dame, USC, UCLA and more. I also think they have one of the most amazing learning environments in the country.

As a recent Loyola graduate Loyola parents still think their kids are the most bullied in nigeria no jokes. We've gone back to putting seniors and juniors on tables together. They should curve the grades...but they won't. Staff still think every single person is Dangotes grand daughter and the pressure is still so much. Would I do it again...maybe.

I got suspended for "smuggling" because they found 2 sticks of biscuits in my bag at the end of visiting day 🙄. I didn't even know they were there. I liked LJC, but they were too extra about some things abeg. Also, as someone who went to QC for a year, the bullying in LJC was tame. But I was in a set that had only 2 senior sets above me, so I don't know how stuff evolved after that. When we were applying to colleges, I remember they used to explain our grades....like how it's easier to get a 90% in American schools vs Nigerian schools. An art teacher who was there when I was there made that statue...I think
