I was literally watching a Lex Friedman video with the CEO of Boston Dynamics, and started searching for more Robotics Engineering videos. I’m debating switching from a Computer Science degree to Robotics Engineering degree. For you to upload this video and it shows up on my subscriptions page as I’m searching, it’s a huge sign for me. I’ll definitely be following this course to its conclusion. Hopefully it’s as fun as I think.
@recklessjunkie Жыл бұрын
Have you ever taken anything apart or built anything growing up? or was fascinated by electronic toys or anything electronic? That’s probably a sign I think you’ll want to pursue robotics vs computer science BUT I think some computer science courses might be needed for robotics but I don’t think robotics is needed for computer science

Hi, It looks like you are using solid works and a 3d printer for this course. Are these necessary tools that will be needed to follow along?
@SabinCivil Жыл бұрын
Yes, 3D printing is a part of the course. You have to 3D print a few components. We are providing Gcode for that. You can approach some 3D printer guys to print the pieces for you. Regarding Solidworks, you can progress in this course with any CAD software. We are proving STEP files of all the components.

@kpieceemmry3387 Жыл бұрын
@@SabinCivil You just mention Amazon what’s the name of the kits on Amazon’s or does it mean 😭 that all the components will be 3D printed and doesn’t need to be bought 😅 You have a good 👍 introductory video about this course but doesn’t answer basic questions on how to essential components clearly. I should have gotten this course long time ago when I first saw it but I found that you don’t sound sure abt the practicality of following along when there’s no easy access to get components 😅

Quick Question: Will you be going over Inverse Kinematics and how to use it to predict where the robot arm will move? So in general, will it kind of be like what a beginner robotics course would cover in a university?
@SabinCivil Жыл бұрын
Inverse kinematics is not a part of this course. However, we do teach basic kinematics for robotics. In this course we have tried to avoid mathematics as much as possible, so it won't be a university level course. The more emphasis is on the conceptual understanding and practical learning.
