That Uber thick chunk of Bondo will become something of a trophy, displayed on a shelf in the front of the shop. I say that assuming it’s the thickest piece you’ve ever seen, it’s the thickest I’ve ever seen! You got that dent hammered out quite nicely.

I wish we had vehicles like that now. About 1980, I knew a man who mounted an early or mid 50s Ford PU body on a Scout or Scout II chassis. I think he put a Ford 302 in it. It had 4WD and looked good. He sold it, and I wonder what ever happened to it. I just saw someone driving a Scout II a few days ago. I was in purty good shape.

I had a 1977 Scout II years ago. Had a 304 and a GM TH400 auto. What I loved most about it was the turn radius, they turn tighter than a lawn tractor. Heavy, and waaay too low to the ground for any sort of real off roading. They really need a spring over axle conversion.
