Motown set the standard for generations of acts to follow. I’m shocked and surprised that a major movie about the Motown story was never done. It’s way overdue!

Profiles in Pittsburgh I just want to say this was a very remarkable and blessed event watching this video and this thing to The Temptations interview. I thank God for my brother Joe Parker for taking my mother to see The Temptations doing the early days. My dad like the whistle to songs and to dance and to take us to the theaters to see all the very act at the Syria mosque in Oakland Pittsburgh. We were blessed to have a father who love music and taught us how to dance. My brother was blessed with opening act at our Hippodrome theater at age 19 years of age. He brought in the Dells and the Isley Brothers. They've performed for us and we were hooked. Now I've been blessed to see all of you and become one of your greatest fans. I hope you'll let me interview you at pctv Channel 21 Comcast in Verizon. You still have so much to tell our fans in Pittsburgh and around the country. So please let this 80 year old lady interview you. My director was from Pasadena local access television theater. He would love to be a part of the interview. Mr. John Patterson. Thank you again for being the Temptations. And I love each and everyone of you. Otis you allowed me to be happy with the coming 80 years of age on September 11th 2022. Maybe I can have you sing Happy Birthday to me at our local Pittsburgh station. Pretty please, Nora Rose Parker Carter

Have been a fan of The Temptations since I was growing up in Texarkana after Otis's father living in the Sunset area told me his son was in the group. Making plans to attend the tour in Texas from Los Angeles in March.

My favorite group of all time. I've seen The Tempts many times going back to my hometown in Detroit from Motown Revues in the 60s to the Latin Quarter to other states I've lived in over the decades. About a dozen years ago I saw them at Caesar's Palace in Atlantic City. I was able to make it to the stage at the end of the show and shake hands with Otis Williams and yell out to him that I once lived on East Grand Boulevard a couple of miles or so from Hitsville. He acknowledged it and said "oh yeah!" I met Melvin Franklin when he and my sister dated in the early 60s. He came over to the house when we lived on Clay and Melrose in The D.

Remember the Latin Quarters on W. Grand Boulevard. Plus the 20 Grand & Driftwood Lounge on 14th

@@williebowen2965 @Willie BOWEN Cool. My sister went there (The 20 Grand) quite a few times in the early 60s but I never made it there myself. Excluding the years that I was in the Navy, I lived in an apt about two blocks from the LQ from about 1971-81' which is now called the Black Family Development, Inc.

@Willie BOWEN Yes I know. I lived at 2989, now 2995, (East) Grand Blvd a few miles east of Hitsville at 2648 West Grand Blvd. incidentally the Latin Quarter was at 3075 East Grand Blvd (some sites erroneously give the address as 3067 West Grand Blvd. That would put The LQ near the GM building also on West Grand Blvd) between John R and Woodward. I may have missed the Temps Reunion show but I saw them there when they had their single *_Power_* out in the early 80s and saw The Dramatics there as well. Detroit's Latin Quarters, Host to Music Legends, Now Demolished "On East Grand Blvd between Woodward Ave and John R was the site of Latin Quarters, a club that is rumored to have once hosted music greats such as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Supremes, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald..." detroit.curbed.com/2012/1/4/10411554/detroits-latin-quarters-host-to-music-legends-now-demolished

I saw the Temptations and the Four Tops earlier this year in Los Angeles and it was amazing. I jumped out of my assigned seat and moved to the front near the stage so I could be just a few feet away from them to dance and sing along with them. What an experience! My favorite album is still Masterpiece.

The Temptations reunion tour played the Front Row Theater. A shame there's no video of that show

You know that's the biggest disappointment of my entertainment life. Not getting a chance to see the Reunion Tour when they came to Detroit in the early 1980s. I had no money and couldn't borrow any. I never did understand what one of the people who went meant when they said they were mad at the concert and didn't really explain why. It wasn't until decades later when I saw some reunion clips on KZbin and realized that by then Eddie had begun to lose his voice. Then I remembered reading in Otis's book that he EK contracted cancer. So I don't know how I would have reacted hearing him. But, to me, when he was young no one could touch him! He is still my favorite Temptation.

There’s always someone who could break through and realize what talent these groups had. We got a man who stood in the gaps for Barry Gordy and he come up with some ideas that got them noticed.. And the Shelly Berger a creative genius.. Otis said they no contract just a handshake something you don’t hear anymore.. People study your history this man stuck his neck out there to make the Temptations great.. Amazing his foresight to be able to visualize the concept.. Now I know the rest of the story? LB April 2022
