I have never understood why people ask anybody about their virginity. The track coach that was working at my former high school asked me that when I hired him as a fitness trainer. Turned out he was a sexual predator. It’s such an invasive question about a highly personal topic that isn’t anyone’s business except at most your doctor or your romantic partner with whom you are or planning on being sexually active with. In no profession outside of a doctor’s office for a vaginal health inquiry shld that question ever be asked. It is inappropriate for people to ask this question- regardless of who you are.

absolutely! and I witnessed that type of shit first hand. I don't think the querend was being malicious it's just her culture sees sex as a topic is in weird contradictory equilibrium of being taboo yet also not private. I've seen my teachers asked female students such questions. People just ask nonchalantly "are you a virgin?" or "are you gay?" as if you owe everyone to explain your sexuality.
