Thank you for the intro series. I am asking if you think there is a real possibility of a small burn or clean puddle remaining on the Ochill Hill tops at this time of year. My first circuit is likely up from Tillicoultry up The Law and onto Ben Cleuch. However I notice in the OS map some burns are indicated coming from both the N and S side of the Andrew Gannel hill. I like to camp on the tops but next to fresh water. Would you have experience of any of the near summit burns or ponds - likely all dry in mid late summer? Thank you.

Very dry on the hills at the moment, a lot of the lower burns are completely dry. There’s a decent flow coming in from both sides at the bottom of The Law. The waterfall at the glen of sorrow is good as well, that’s between King’s Seat and Tarmangie. There is usually a small trickle stream between Ben Buck and Ben Ever as well but not sure what the situation is there. Hope that helps 👍

@@scotsnomad7395 yes it does thx. I could see you had an interest in Ochills. Yes overall very dry but might might checkout those possibilities. I dont like carring more than 1.6l and I need more with the heat.

It’s been very dry here, reservoirs are pretty low as well. I’ve just been carrying extra water in with me, at least the pack is lighter on the walk back out 😉👍

@@scotsnomad7395 yip its good when it stops! Ill just have to accept 2l. The Craghoppers tent looked v nicely designed by the way. But with all that height and floor a genuine 2p tent. Regards.
