I love the new totem. A lot of thought went into that. I'm curious to know who worked on it.

I wonder what it would cost to have a totem pole designed for oneself, plus shipped to the east coast to have placed on ones own front lawn.

Are there any totem (legand) poles which are now thought to warn about past Tsunamis?

+blake calliso The National Park Service hires people with the job title Ranger who serve a variety of functions. Some of them lead tours and help visitors interpret the resources. There also are Rangers who serve police functions.

no, rangers are very friendly, dont beat your dog, your wife or wild animals and they wont bother you. they dont shoot kids, plant drugs or burn people with flash bang grenades or torture people to death so no they arent cops.

I find it fascinating that the white people move up there and think they know about Alaskan heritage more than the natives.

I don't know if she thinks she knows more, but she is telling what she knows. It appears that the park is working with the local native people to preserve and educate about their heritage.

I'm neither fascinated, amazed or surprised, it has been happening where ever they go. Another thing I find most annoying is the word discovered America, New Zealand and Australia. Well hello, am I to be part of the fauna? Oh yes Columbus discovered America. Knowing is not the same as lived or originated. Its just a book there's no spiritual connection, which is all part of it.
