@@mistiroberts1576 we in my area get so much fake Italian food because if is mostly made by non Italian people who don’t know better. There aren’t many people from Memphis here either. I’m in the Washington DC area no Chinese food either save for a couple places, also not much in the way of authentic Mexican cuisine either. Mostly all fusion food here. Sometimes it is good, most times disappointing.

Yes we do that all the time to signify food being excessively good or something said just being exaggerated, a big whopper, as you might say (13:21 in this video)! We also touch, with an index finger, one cheek and twist the wrist to signify the same. Aren't those gestures internationally understood as goodness?

Names of Napoleon' parents : Carlo Maria Buonaparte and Maria Letizia Ramolino .... do they sound italian or french ? 😄 ( after Napoleon changed his family name in Bonaparte ). His anchestors were from Sarzana ( a town between Tuscany and Liguria ) then they moved to Corsica, when Corsica was not yet french

As a native Arkansan, I'm glad you went through Arkansas and glad you tried some local food there. Catfish is definitely the thing to try, though we "invented" cheese dip and have some killer desserts. We do also have our BBQ and are very proud of it, though we get overlooked for Memphis or Kansas City. President Clinton, originally from Hope, Arkansas, was partial to McClard's. There's a bunch more, but I'm just glad you stopped in the state and didn't just fly through to Memphis!

You just know that those ribs (that you had in Memphis) are cooked to perfection when they are nicely rubbed and ultimately fall-off-the-bone tender. Plus they went down well with Eva. The American South is indeed a Carnivore's paradise. I'm not surprised why Eva didn't find the Nashville Hot Chicken well...hot, she comes from the part of Italy that created Nduja Sausage.

Proprio oggi ho spiegato perché gli italiani odiano i francesi. Macaron -> ricetta di un cuoco italiano Baguette -> ricetta italiana Croissant -> ricetta dell'Austria. Sono arrivati prima in Italia che in Francia di importazione. Crêpes -> ricetta inventata a Roma. Sono chiamate "Crespelle" french fries -> sono nate in Belgio e non in francia Gaufres -> (french waffles) sono nati in Belgio. I francesi rubano le ricette a chiunque e cercano di farle loro. Hanno il coraggio di dire "noi mangiamo lumache e rane. E' una cosa nostra tipica", ma non è vero niente.

C'è da dire, però, che i croissant in Francia sono buonissimi! Per il resto quoto su tutto e si può estendere il discorso anche al vino e ai formaggi. Loro più che formaggi molli e puzzosi non hanno , noi invece abbiamo tantissime varietà. Il vino anche, dal nord al sud spacchiamo i culi in quanto a varietà e bontà

Of course buy the boots at 12:12....but also, Eva....get some cowgirl boots that are taller and represent your visit to the south of the US. I'm not a cowboy but I have boots and I wear them to work and on occasions where they're helpful and appropriate. Where I live in small town south Louisiana, we have a historically huge settlement of Sicilian and they are proud. A great many of my friends locally, growing up in grade school have Italian heritage and especially on father's side. We are Italian American small business owned in my small town and it's a celebrated fact of our lives..... While I have no Italian heritage, my friends do and my family eventually married into. My mother in her 70's have best friends that are these Italian business owners. We attend Catholic mass with a majority Italian. I wish to consider traveling with you on your trips and will stay in touch. I'm glad to've found your channel. I'm excited to watch your channel as it's so relevant to me...I'll share more soon.
