Just discovered your channel and had to go to a previous video to realize you did all that in a 1-car garage. Amazing. I'll definitely have to check out your workshop videos.. amazing how your tools and storage was built and looks like you could still fit a car inside.

The clarity in these plans is truly impressive, and I can see the effort that went into creating them. I was wondering if it's possible to receive the SKP model to make adjustments for a king-size bed. Thank you!

I hope your new workshop is as big as you can go or has expansion later designed in there. It’s always a space thing. Thought I was good on space until I had more machines fall in my lap.

How can I adapt the plans for a king size bed? Are there plans for a headboard ?
@TheOffcut4 жыл бұрын
I still need to make plans for the headboard. It is possible to keep the base part with the cabinets the same and just make the platform on top bigger to fit a king.

Curious, 3 years later would you change anything about the design?
@TheOffcut2 жыл бұрын
I have made some changes to it. Mainly screwing the slats to another strip of plywood so that they are connected. I did it in 2 halves so it is easy to remove them for easy access under the mattress for extra storage. Another thing I would change is to add some holes or leave some gaps to allow for some ventilation under the mattress. Other than that I am still very happy with the overall look and functionality of the design!

Very classy bed Tim, and it must be nice to have access to the larger tools when you need it too. Are you planning to get back to YT a bit more now that you have moved house and whatnot? (making more furniture and stuff for the new house?)
@TheOffcut5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Rob! Always good to see your comments. Yep! I've got a list of things I need to make and hopefully I can make a video for each one. Probably won't get round to working on the new workshop anytime soon so will probably be building them in the big workshop.
@TheJerseyBiker4 жыл бұрын
What a gorgeous use of oak and what a great finish you gave it, but it’s a shame you didn’t consider making a really long pull out drawer for the middle, rather than leaving that dead space?! It certainly looks like you have the real estate for it in that room? Love it 😍
@OMGWTFLOLSMH2 жыл бұрын
Adding a middle drawer would mean a lot of extra work to support the slides and not as clean a look. I would have just made the existing drawers longer so they're using all the space underneath.
