An Ode to Subaru Performance: The story of WRX and STI

With news of the next generation Subaru WRX STI being electric, TopGear SA decided to bid farewell to the STI recipe we know and love. At the same time we were doing this film, the all new Subaru WRX was launched in South Africa and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to introduce that car too.
Featuring the inimitable comedian Jason Goliath and Avon Middleton, these two don't agree on much in this film. Or do they?

Thanks. I'm thankful my '19 WRX has a CD Player and AA; best of both worlds. I just want to put 5"-7" rounds in the lower bumper of my '19 WRX. I need a kit for big rounds in the lower bumper vs the 3" that go there. I like automatic braking, but I severely dislike lane keep assist (LKA). I'd rather have auto-rev-match over LKA. I also think adding "STI" to "WRX" muddied the waters as to what was what... I like the Yellow wagon in this video.

Nope driven a 2023. I hava Blob eye and have owned it from day one in 2004. Upped the boost and blew the motor from and air filter metal piece that made its way through the turbo to my Pistons. I now own a q50 infinity S I love that car. But there is not the mechanical feeling of the sti. So i got set building a motor now the car is a 440WHP dyno dynamics. 510 on RACE gas. I put 28k into the car 10 years ago and its still very stout! 11.39 Quarter at 119 mph. I will never sell this car. 0 Rust. never seen winter Rain is avoided. A car that i love. Addictive And tell chunk that he knows shit lol.

Wtf is this. The VB wrx is faster than a Va STI stock for stock. VB makes 270 whp. So about 320 crank and yeah you need a manual.

If they were real subaru enthusiasts they would tell you how much better the fa engine responds to mods than the ej. A few bolt ons and ethanol in the new wrx and you're getting close to 400hp. Do the same on the old ej and you're getting close to blowing it up.
