Nice video. Those old X5 BW's actually have two springs inside. One on each end. I've taken all three of mine apart and cleaned everything and use spray dry lube on the springs.

I didn’t know you could take them apart! I’m going to see if I can figure it out because both of mine have developed an annoying squeak. Appreciate any suggestions!

@@weekendwanderer5514 It's easiest if you have two people but you can do it by yourself if you are fairly strong. Place one end on something hard like a coffee table. I use one of those rubber discs that BW sells and that comes with some of their products to put the BW on. Grab the chrome part of the device and pull down as far as you can until there is slack in the straps. Keeping the tube pulled down, pull the black handle up and off of the chrome tube. Once you get it off, you can pull the chrome tube out of the bottom handle and then pull out all of the insides from both sides. Let me know how it goes.

Really liked your video a lot. I'm a few years younger than you and never used a Bullworker when I was in my teens/early twenties. I have been using a combination of a regular Bullworker, Bullworker X5, chest expanders and power twisters for months now. These old school pieces of equipment all work well separately and in different combinations for both isometric and isotonic exercises. I am experiencing a big increase in my upper body strength and muscle mass. Hope you will do more with the Bullworker and maybe the others as well in the future. 👍👍

Thank you my friend. I too have multiple Bullworkers and still believe that they are highly underappreciated. I plan on doing more of this type of video in the future and hope you’re able to tune in. Love your channel name, lol.

I like your video. I purchased my first Bullworker around the same time, initially starting with the original version and then the X5. I sold it as I was a little frustrated with the straps pulling out of sync. Anyway, 2 years ago I bought the Bow Basic and ISO Bow and have got back into this form of exercise, combined with body weight training.

I didn’t get into it in the video but I’ve got just about every one of their products. The ISO Bow especially is amazing for what it is. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@retirementreboot yes, the ISO Bow is surprisingly effective. Thanks.

I have all the New Bullworker products including there Limited Edition X5 28"Pro Gold. That said my favourite Bullworker is the Bow Basic. The Bow Basic has a feel and a quality above all the rest even the Limited Edition X5 28"Pro Gold which costs $750 and the Bow Basic $100 brand new. I have built an awesome body from Bullworker (Age 60)

My Experiences with Isometric Training I prefer to perform the Bullworker exercises without directly gripping the tube, as direct gripping puts too much and unnatural stress on the hands. I prefer the shorter Bullworker because it allows for better and more effective execution of many exercises. As a complement to the Bullworker exercises, I also use the Isokinator by Koelbel. With the Isokinator, exercises can be performed that are practically impossible with other devices. These include all exercises involving: Rotations around the spine Circular movements in a vertical direction These special exercises train different muscle groups in the body while simultaneously improving endurance. I bought my first Bullworker about 50 years ago. However, back then there was a problem that it only had one strong spring, and as a beginner, many exercises couldn't be performed at all. With the newer Bullworkers, which have multiple resistance springs, this problem has been very well solved. The isometric exercises with the Bullworker or Isokinator are more motivating than exercises with the Isoflow or exercises without equipment, as you can better recognize progress after some time when you need to increase the resistance. After about three years of training with the Isokinator, I now supplement my routine with Bullworker exercises, which I perform throughout the day. My current training program consists of ten exercises each, where I: Perform the movement until maximum resistance Maintain muscle tension at maximum resistance for 10 seconds This way, I train both endurance and muscle strength simultaneously. I'm not concerned about building muscles quickly, but rather about training the body holistically. As recent scientific findings on muscle training show, this type of training not only strengthens the muscles but also benefits: The internal organs The joints Bone density The immune system These isometric exercises, combined with healthy nutrition, are therefore a true fountain of health for the entire body.

Couldn't agree more. I'm actually working on some follow-up videos about the benefits of isometrics. I'd like to get my hands on an isokinator, but there are no used units available in my area and ordering one from Germany is prohibitively expensive. Thanks for the comment!
