I just got my I-Bas and I'm really liking it, but the sharp edges were 100% the first thing I noticed. And of course I got a teal one, so no sand paper for me 🙃 Also, I'm not sure if you guys have seen it, but Hom has had I-Bas's in various configurations replenishing on his site on a "rolling release" for a couple weeks. I've seen models go out of stock, then back in stock a few days later and right now, all but one configuration is available. Not sure how he's doing it, but it's pretty awesome if maintained!

I highly recommend it. I actually own both the latchless version and the latched version (which, of course, i took the latch off of immediately). The latchless version has a nice handle bias, which i prefer slightly to the latched version with the latch removed (which is a bit more neutral than the latchless version). Also it isn't just a decent flipper, it's an INCREDIBLE flipper. I have a lot of knives in my collection that are widely considered excellent flippers, but i always find myself going back my latchless i-bas. Of course personal preference plays a role, but it just feels perfect to flip, and at the same time, is a beautiful work of art.

I love the i-bas but I do still prefer the ti bas more since its sandwich. I just prefer the way sandwich balis flip due to density etc. Even if weight is similiar or even more something about sandwich balis and the way they feel and sound is just more my preference. Not to mention the galssiness. But I will say the i-bas is amazing and one of the channels I do prefer when comparing to other channel balis. Inside edges don't bother me at all and if it's sharp to you then your hands are pretty soft and that's OK we aren't all made the same. It feels like the edges on my rep not a big deal to me doesn't bother me at all. I get why you would point it out though for sure. Chamfer is better or some sort of smoothing just slightly rounding would be fine for sure lol. I will say with the reo the g10 or cf scales do help take away from the effect so I guess it would be more bothersome on the i-bas and as you said for 600 it should have been thought about.

I'm not exactly a flipper, but I love a good bali. How long do you suppose they last before wearing out when you flip them and use them as an actual knife doing knife things on the daily? Do even high end Balis wear out and develop loose tolerances after a period of time? Or are they like something where if you care for it and tune it and don't abuse it, it'll last a lifetime?

I know that it’s pretty subjective, but do you think you’ll add a section on how the bali sounds? It’s becoming much more of a factor in buying balis nowadays, and I feel like it’d be worth throwing into the reviews. Anyways, great review! Had been looking to get an I-Bas for a while and this has really helped my decision

We often forget to do a "sound test" for balisongs, but we do them on occasion. It won't ever factor into the scores in any way though since how "good" a sound is is so subjective, but it does slightly inform how much we enjoy flipping each balisong

Hey Will. I got a teal vulp for christmas today. it had a couple of problems. first up it came in 2 boxes with the knife being separated. and then problem nr.2 as i tried setting it together i noticed that my bushings wouldnt fit only 1 would get in while the other one didnt have enough room to get stuck in. which means im flipping it now but with only 1 bushing on each Handle which causes alot of play and tap. if there is any help i can get i will greatly appreciate it. EDIT:i did buy it from AliExpress(his link in desc, with no opener)
