I’ve never agreed with a video so much in my whole life 😂 4 years in the dark to get the same stuff again. Such a fan of Celine and can’t wait to see what the documentary has in store, but team Celine need to get a grip and release stuff we haven’t seen before. I remember seeing they were filming the last shows in vegas so maybe we’ll see some footage of that in the documentary, not getting my hopes up though 🙃

WE want unreleased tracks. WE want rarities like Mariah did. WE want a greatest performances compilation like Whitney did. WE want her old albums to be celebrated the right way, anniversary editions with demos, live tracks, remixes. What a video! It comes from the heart. I found it by accident, looking for info on the new Céline documentary. I'm not a die hard fan but I do follow her music. And I have to admit I had the same thought as you, about this best of that's coming out at the same time as the documentary. Why use the same songs over and over again? Why not offer fans something "new"? One or two new songs (already recorded for a previous album or something?) Why not take the opportunity to release a concert? I get the impression that the music industry is in a bad way. Artists often want to share more and more with their fans, but too many things get in the way. Their team. Rights (for some songs). Money. The record company. And surely other things we don't know about. I hope you and the Celine community will be heard. In the meantime, let's enjoy the songs she's already given and shared, cherish the memories. And let's wish her a speedy recovery. Maybe one day soon, we'll see her back on stage in excellent health. Or come up with a new album. Who knows?

Listen here, for me this is like a catch 22 situation... i totally agree with you on this and it is such a slap in our faces as we have all of the material already. But, my house burned down last year 2 days after my birthday, and i literally LOST EVERYTHING. All my Celine Dion merchandise, all the CDs, and the collectors items and to date i could not replace it because I don't have money to do so. TV GILBERT GONZALEZ JR , Celine Dion said she is an apple tree and right now she has no apples to give. It may be that she may not have hundreds of unreleased recorded songs, as you think. She may not have distribution rights on certain recordings. (For example - the song from 1999 that was not released "Love Is Alive" the rumors were that there was a dispute between Celine's team and the producers of the song ..... a song like this could not be released on Celine Dion's new album). Regarding songs from live performances..... True, Celine had songs from live performances, but again.....they are not her songs and she needs copyright for that. (I wish there was a release of "Endless Love" from a live performance in 1987. I only have 16 seconds of this song). ---> In the end, you are right! If we buy the new album, it will only make the Celine Dion team continue to recycle material. The question is... does she really have enough materials that she is allowed to sell?

Hi Gilbert😊! First of all I’m new to your channel and must say I luuuuuv your content. I’ve been a HUGE Celine Dion Fan since the beginning of her career. I own all her cds as well as the collaboration book and lullaby cd she made with Anne Guides when she had her son. For my wedding video there was no way I couldn’t include her. We did a part at the beach and I included “ For the Power of Love” back in 1994. Celine has always been the soundtrack of my life. I’m from Miami. Saw her in concert 4 times and each one was always better the last one. My favorite was when she had the Be Gees(I might have misspelled) and they sang “Staying Alive”. She rocked that song in her white suit. My biggest regret was not to be able to see her during her residency in Vegas. I 1,000% agree with you that she must have tons of songs in the vault that haven’t seen the light of day. Celine is outstanding and I am sure our songstress has liquid gold in her vault. They can easily release new songs without putting her through pain and stress right now unless she is waiting to be ready to put out new material that she’s created during this time of convalescence but as you stated why doesn’t her team take the time to go back through them and give us some new material they could of added two or three songs that have never been released. I would definitely purchase if they throw in some of her classics and add songs from her vault…. I garantee you there will be big hits in there. Celine is my girl and always be! My prayers are always with her and her family I can’t imagine what she and her boys go through every single day. I myself have a rare Neurological disease called Trigeminal Neuralgia since 2011. I’ve had 4 brain surgeries. There is no cure only temporary relief but I have to battle mine everyday. I’ve even been to the Mayo Clinic and there is nothing else they can do except for pain management. Mine only affects everything on the right side of my face eye, ear nose, cheek, both mandibles, head and neck. It’s also referred to as the suicide disease because most patients commit suicide by the 5th year. With what I go through everyday I can’t fathom Celine’s pain that it affects her entire body and she handles it with such grace, bravery, and strength. Unfortunately little to no money goes into research for Neurological conditions by our government. There is not enough money for neurological research! Why because most neurological conditions are not life threatening yet they are because we have people who can no longer take the pain and take their own lives. We’re talking about mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, and friends. It’s not fair then we get stuck on meds that help us in one way but then begin to mess up our bodies in other ways. So many are forced to get on opioids because of the unbearable pain. Then they are embarrassed and frowned upon because if taken responsibly it’s the only thing that offers some relief. Then there are others that get hooked on opioids all because the government does not have funds for research. Yeah, ok…. Celine is my HERO I just have a tiny idea of what she goes through everyday and I cannot compare her pain to mine… Her whole body and organs are affected. She is incredible I don’t understand how she finds the strength and power to muscle through. God bless her each and everyday. May he liberate her from all pain so that she can once again find her identity and be the mother, the AMAZING artist, sister, friend, business woman we all L❤VE! WE NEED MORE CELINE DION!!! I actually have that clip. I found it again many years later, after having heard it in Vegas itself, of course over the radio. It was an April, back in the 90s sometime, but before 2001. I was sitting in a car that, my great aunt Janet, and the rest of my family were sitting in driving to somewhere. Of course, we were in Las Vegas, and whenever I heard that song with the movie tracks… I cried. I kept hearing it all throughout our vacation down there, and then I lost track of it.I now have it back, and it is on another one of the titanic albums. Of course I’m extremely grateful and excited for the actual film documentary itself, but not the soundtrack album which sadly has no previously unreleased songs from the vault at Sony Music, for songs which Celine has already recorded. All of Celine’s fans deserve better, more creative releases from “Team Celine”- aka her record labels. Incredibly disappointing that we still don’t have any DVD/Blu-Ray release of Celine’s VERY successful 2nd Las Vegas show- “Celine” than ran from 2011-2019. 😢 And, what about the special anniversary milestones for Celine’s biggest albums? We got NOTHING for Celine’s classic Christmas album “These Are Special Times” last year when the album reached its important 25th Anniversary! 🥺 and, yet Sony’s Legacy Recordings rolled out the red carpet when Mariah’s “Merry Christmas” album reached it’s 25th anniversary, and released a HUGE promo and marketing campaign and a new special edition album for her 25th anniversary. How is that fair? The soundtrack to “I Am: Celine Dion” should have some of her greatest hits of course (no questions there), but should ALSO have- a mix of some previously unreleased already recorded songs, and some fan favorite “deep cut” tracks maybe slightly remixed. That would be an exciting new release! Shame on her record labels for not doing much better and actually listening to the true fans.

Hi Gilbert, Have you seen Celine live I have seen her live 5 times. The first time was Sept. 25th 1999 with Let's Talk About Love Tour in Rhode Island. Then I saw her June 1st at Kiss 108 in Massachusetts it was from noon to 10 at night she came out at 8PM. Then I win tickets on a radio station in October of 2004 to see her at Madison Garden in NY. Then i saw her in Boston with Taking Chances tour on August of 2008. Then again in Boston on December 13th, 2019 with the Courage tour. I wish I could of meet her in person. I never get tired of listening to her. I can see your point Team Celine should do alot more for rhe fans. I know they remastered some of her music videos but they need to do more of them in my opinion. They should do my blu ray concerts from Falling Into You, Let's Talk About Love Tour. I know they did the one from France. But it would be nice to have the english version when I saw her she sang Tears in Heaven. I like how she sang this song alot. I had a major flood and lost so much stuff about Celine I still get upset losing cd singles, books, pillows, I wish I could of gone to Las Vegas. Encore un soir Music video never released 8 years now. Lying down video never released 5 years now. Courage world tour DVD never releasrd. Celine Las Vegas Show 2011-2019 DVD never released. After Rene passed She did mot do anything only Courage album in a 8 years. I dont know whos fault? Celine told 2019 that she received tons of songs when recorded courage album. Though the thing that gets me curious about is if Celine's management team would eventually announce that all sales of the soundtrack album will be go to SPS research to raise awareness for the rare neurological disease. In my opinion, though I doubt any of her team will say it, and not that you will agree with me as well, I think that this soundtrack should raise awareness for Stiff Person Syndrome research and that all sales of the album should be donated to a SPS organization if there should be any that exist. As for "Play Me Like a Love Song", my second opinion is that if Celine should not be back to singing any time soon, say if it takes her more than 3 years to gain back her performing level the way she's used to, her management team, through her approval, should possibly work on a volume 2 compilation album where it would include rarities, B-sides and material that was worked on for possible inclusion on her albums but unfortunately didn't make the final cut (vault tracks), like The Collector's Series, Volume 1. PMLALS might have a 50/50 chance to be included on that possible compilation, though another song that rung a bell in my mind that was recorded by Celine but was used for a 2015 Canadian movie "Snowtime!", is called "Hymn". "Hymn" was done in English and French, though the English version was done by Celine solo, while the French version called "L'hymne" was sung by Celine and features a French-Canadian male singer Fred Pellerin. One, or possibly both English and French versions may be planned to be put on a "rarity/B-side/other material" album if it likely comes into development in addition of PMLALS.

I agree with you i had expected them to put at least one new song on this like play me like a love song.. kind as a song to describe her career but unfortunately dont agree eith you on the later.. as maybe its not team celine that picks the songs is a documentary about her lifes work and how this has affected her offcourse they are going to use the greatest hits its the documentary producer that choses which song goes where and which songs to use.. im sure they could have released a rarities collection maybe as a double cd to her greatest hits but i understand their choice in using these songs

Humberto Gatica was on a flight with a fan not long after he leaked “Play Me Like A Love Song.” When asked when it was coming out, Humberto told the fan that it was the decision of Celine’s Team on what to do with it. He said they make that decision. The label already approved it and approved Humberto to produce it. Their part was done. It was up to Celine’s Team after that to find the right placement for it. At least that is what was reported and that was for that specific song. As far as other unreleased material, it’s still up to Celine’s Team to gather the songs and approach the label for the inner workings of how it reached the respected projects. The labels want to make money. They aren’t going to fight hard to shelve anything if they know fans will buy it. Celine is one of those artists that they have confidence in. She has sold more overall units than any other female singer in history.

I think Mariah coming out with her rarities album was easy for her because she writes most of her own music. I don’t think team Celine has all the licenses, copyrights, legal rights to release songs that were not written by her. I think it’s a lot more complicated than we think it is.

Songs were added to the soundtrack that aren't in the film at all ("Pour que tu m'aimes encore", "A New Day Has Come", etc) and songs that were featured in the film are not featured on the soundtrack at all ("Treat Her Like A Lady", "Ebben! Ne Andro Lontana", "Le Ballet", etc) So no, that's not what this is. Besides, I'm more drawing attention to the fact that this is about an opportunity, YET AGAIN, to release previously unreleased material,,, and Céline's team just never takes it! It's despicable.
