Can't say it was pleasant. But I still respect the intensity of her voice. I once told a co-worker that I thought Celine Dion was the next Barbara Streisand - he laughed at me. That's exactly right!!! This was all about a conversation between a mother and her daughter. David Foster, who had produced both artists during their careers, wrote the song specifically for Celine to perform with Barbra as it was a lifelong dream of her's to sing with her idol, so David made it happen. The song was actually written by David, Linda Thompson (Elvis' one-timw girlfriend), and Celine. Since there's a 26-year difference between the two ladies (Celine was 29, Barbra 55), the lyrics were perfect. Celine's voice is stunning, but I agree with you, there's something other-worldly coming from Streisand's throat. I compare it to singing in 3D, while everyone else is in 2D. She's so very special. Definitely agree with several other posters, Barbra's duet with Donna Summer, "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)" [long version] is a drf must!

Barbra Streisand is gorgeous in my opinion. She's married to actor James Brolin and he's pretty easy on the eyes, too.
